Tested on a 14 Pro Max and worked well in anticipation for a 17 Pro Max
K&F CONCEPT Magnetic Lens Filter Mount Adapter with 58mm Variable ND2-32 Filter Compatible with iPhone 17 Pro Max:I tested this out on a 14 Pro Max knowing full well it is not designed for it but with my plan to get a 17 Pro Max in the near future, I thought I would get this now to try it out. This clearly blocks out the camera flash, microphone and LIDAR when fitted but you can still use it for standard photos. It fitted on well and firmly with the MagSafe but I wouldn't trust it to help save my phone from dropping just by using the strap alone. I guess it is a 'just in case' thing. It is designed well and the quality is near immaculate. It obviously adds weight to the phone but I wasn't thinking about that whilst using it and I suppose it is great that it can be used alongside a case and a stand.I almost dropped the lens piece a few times, so I think it is something you should get and install on to the plate immediately. I also think, after using it for 30 mins that this is better suited to being installed on a dedicated photo taking phone which will reduce the chances of accidental damages during the fitting and removing stages. Pulling out a dedicated phone just makes more sense. If you choose to use it and remove it when done, I guess that is good too but it will be a bit cumbersome. Additionally it does change the profile of the phone quite a bit, so it is not exactly going straight back in to your pocket like that afterwards. The lens thread looks short but when installing it, after a bit of struggle to get it going, it felt like there was a lot of rotating required to get it locked in. Adjusting the filter is easy but it would have been so much more easier if there was a sort of lever to hold on to and just move that. There were a few times I thought I was about to adjust the filter but instead I began to loosen the lens.In terms of what the lens does, well that is the kind of thing I am getting this to learn about. All I can say it does the thing and it looks like a polarised filter. I was even able to make one of my computer screens completely disappear due to the filter blocking out how the screen was displaying. It is something I will be playing with for a while to figure it out because I can see that you can also fit other filters on it providing they are the right size. I like it.
