A great toy for children, as it allows them to learn about the world of microscopy and examine things up close. I've even borrowed it to find a defect on a circuit board. If you use it as a microscope with just the screen, the quality is actually surprisingly good, even if the display itself is a bit small. However, you can also connect it to a laptop/PC as a camera. Regarding the images the microscope takes, I have to say, you lose a lot of quality. I don't know why the images look so much worse than the live image. It could, of course, be a setting. I've attached a few things to it – including cotton fabric, microfiber, skin surfaces, and pencil marks on paper. What I have to say, though, is that this little microscope is a lot better than what the children currently find in school...
