This has been a great camera/video recorder. I have been looking for one with plenty of features to handle everyday recording as well as aurora events and this one hits the mark. I am easily able to adjust for night/day settings, slow down the shutter speed as well as easy recording for spur of the moment dig zoomies. It is not complicated but has all that I need to get quality recordings. It is lightweight and economical.

The camera has an attractive design and comes well-equipped, including accessories like a microphone, batteries, and a memory card. It is lightweight and easy to use—ideal for beginners like me.The image quality is very good. The external microphone significantly improves the audio, ensuring voices come through clearly when recording videos. It is a great choice considering the price and quality. Really nice picture quality. I barely used the 8K video quality, because it drains the battery very quickly. Batteries take a very long time to charge, so having an extra does help but they just drain so fast that it didn‘t work for my needs.
I bought this purely for the IR feature to record NV (NODS) footage. Indoors, it works pretty darn good and even better with an IR flood illum. Outdoors, less so but still capable if you're recording less than a few feet away. Overall, it's a really nice camera and can easily help you record IR NV content (ie, photos). Just limit your expectations with video and battery life.
