I'm pissed at myself that I waited this long to purchase this mic for my video needs. I didn't expect much because I never use the audio from the camera anyway. I'll have my big mic plugged into some sort of recorder and marry the audio to the video in post. I do a lot of run and gun style shooting and sometime I don't have the chance to set up proper audio but still want better than what I can get with the cameras built in microphone. Since I've put this on my cam I honestly haven't taken it off. Even at home using it for youtube videos and other content i've been pleased with the sound come from this mic. It's been my go-to mic on my last few videos on my channel

The Good about these microphones, is they are super cheap, they work, and they pick up vocals very nicely.

In conclusion at this price point this mic is very good and has awesome features. You do get what you pay for but for someone on a budget or just starting out with shotgun mics this is a very good option.

One part of my job has me filming training videos. To do this I use a DSLR (Canon T03i EOS). The internal mic cannot be used due to the sound of the autofocus drive, which pushed me into the market for a shotgun mic.I initially went with some fairly 'cheap' options only to end up with poor sound quality.I picked this mic up prior to a video shoot in Hawaii, and it was worth every penny.The sound quality was outstanding, the options on the mic itself are great.

OK, after a bit of fiddling around with this Universal Shotgun Microphone Vlogging Kit with 3.5mm Plug, I got it working (trust me, it was me, not the mic) and did some recording tests both for video and just as a recording device and I am very impressed! Very good sound quality! Crisp! Clear! I think this is a pretty darned good little product. I've already started using it for various TikTok and Instagram videos and it's making me very happy.

While I still use those when the situation demands, I've now switched to this microphone for most of my day to day work. Is it the absolute best sound quality? No. But it's good. Is it the best at noise cancellation? No. But unless you're filming in extraordinarily noisy circumstances, it's good enough.If you're a professional trying to get professional quality audio, this probably won't quite do it for you. But if you need only the next best thing, and without spending professional prices, this is going to do exactly what you want. Soo I bought this mic to start a small hobby. I started to get into videography recently and audio Is always the biggest thing for me, I cant stand a video with bad audio. Im always looking for bang for buck products when I shop and this microphone was definitely one. For the price, theres great audio quality and I love that its very portable. I didn’t want a very obnoxiously big microphone to get so much attention when I’m filming. As a beginner I found it very easy to set up and understand how to use. Also something that competitors don’t have is an included deadcat for blocking out wind noises. I started shooting vlogs with this mic and my camera, and it completely changed my overall production. Compared to the original camera microphone, this is a HUGE difference. I also love the fact that there is a green light on the side that helps you know when your mic is recording. I’ve had friends have problems not turning on their battery powered microphones and I love that I’ll always know when mine is on and plugged in. Not to mention it doesn’t require a battery!
