K&F CONCEPT Double-Sided Magnetic Lens Filter Mount Adapter, Compatible with iPhone 17 Pro and 58mm Threaded Filters, iPhone Filter Mount (Filter Not Included)
SKU: KF15.0019
Firstly, this Magnetic Filter Adapter does fit some of the earlier iPhone Pro Max Mobiles (definitely a 16 Pro Max), albeit things like the Flash may be obscured. I mention this to let you know that you can buy this Filter Kit, and get some very good and effective use out of it, even before upgrading to an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Fits the 17 Pro I was worried that the 0.5X lens here would reveal the lens or adapter at the edge, but it's all good. You can't see the attached additional lens on any of the lenses.

This is a magnetic camera lens filter compatible with the iPhone 17 Pro max from the brand K&F concept, which makes a variety of other camera gadgets. The whole set feels very premium, especially with the included hardshell case, lanyard and cleaning cloths. The lens itself comes with a magsafe adapter with a fairly strong connection, and it can fit over most cases as well (so you don't have to use your phone bare). The lens covers all 3 of the cameras and screws onto the adapter. There's also a cutout for the flash/lidar/speaker. Although this is designed for the 17 PM, it does technically fit over the older pro max models (however you would be covering up the flash). The build quality is overall really good.In terms of the lens itself, this is a variable ND (neutral density) type filter, which acts as like sunglasses for your phone lens to allow you to shoot with modes which will typically cause over exposure of the image if used without. I.e. it lets you shoot with wider apertures, or slower shutter speeds. There is a little bit of a learning curve where you have to just experiment with the iPhone's custom camera settings, and I think for the newbie to photography, probably this one won't feel like you are doing that much different to your photographs except making it a bit dimmer (and even that your automatic camera settings usually adjust for anyway). The good thing about this set is that K&F concept sells other lenses, including CPL only and combination ND with CPL, which you can swap in/out via the magsafe mount. I would recommend if you were to only get one to get the ND + CPL one, which also filters out polarising light and is good for minimising glare from the surface of water/ glass/windows etc.

K&F CONCEPT Magnetic Lens Filter Mount Adapter with 58mm Variable ND2-32 Filter Compatible with iPhone 17 Pro Max:I tested this out on a 14 Pro Max knowing full well it is not designed for it but with my plan to get a 17 Pro Max in the near future, I thought I would get this now to try it out. This clearly blocks out the camera flash, microphone and LIDAR when fitted but you can still use it for standard photos. It fitted on well and firmly with the MagSafe but I wouldn't trust it to help save my phone from dropping just by using the strap alone. I guess it is a 'just in case' thing. It is designed well and the quality is near immaculate. It obviously adds weight to the phone but I wasn't thinking about that whilst using it and I suppose it is great that it can be used alongside a case and a stand.I almost dropped the lens piece a few times, so I think it is something you should get and install on to the plate immediately. I also think, after using it for 30 mins that this is better suited to being installed on a dedicated photo taking phone which will reduce the chances of accidental damages during the fitting and removing stages. Pulling out a dedicated phone just makes more sense. If you choose to use it and remove it when done, I guess that is good too but it will be a bit cumbersome. Additionally it does change the profile of the phone quite a bit, so it is not exactly going straight back in to your pocket like that afterwards. The lens thread looks short but when installing it, after a bit of struggle to get it going, it felt like there was a lot of rotating required to get it locked in. Adjusting the filter is easy but it would have been so much more easier if there was a sort of lever to hold on to and just move that. There were a few times I thought I was about to adjust the filter but instead I began to loosen the lens.In terms of what the lens does, well that is the kind of thing I am getting this to learn about. All I can say it does the thing and it looks like a polarised filter. I was even able to make one of my computer screens completely disappear due to the filter blocking out how the screen was displaying. It is something I will be playing with for a while to figure it out because I can see that you can also fit other filters on it providing they are the right size. I like it.

The ND filter is excellent and it comes in a hard pouch which is easy to carry around. It has a magnetic base to prop with the camera lens and the ND filter can just screw in. It works perfectly well in outdoors as expected. The build quality is brilliant, it is solid metal and is strong.Overall it’s a great product and good value.

This is a set of filter frames and ND filters that are fixed using MagSafe. The filter is set in a tight frame, and since it can be attached quickly with magnetic force, it is quite convenient that there is no hassle of putting it on and taking it off. Compared to the one with the smartphone display in between, the fit was excellent because it was only dedicated. However, if a protective film is attached to the entire lens, it interferes on the inside, so I had to look for another one for that point. The included variable ND filter was from the NANO-K series. They are ND2 to ND32, and although there is a point where it is easy to turn the filter adjustment ring and mounting screw together, the quality is decent. It's a bit disappointing that if you buy a new iPhone 17 because it's an exclusive product, you won't be able to use it, so I'm also wondering if there is something a little more versatile.

Helpful! Variable ND for iPhone 17 Pro This kind of ND is a “physical filter,” so there is no need to install a special application. The dimming effect is normal even with standard cameras. However, video management is probably where the real value comes out. Since the Blackmagic Camera app can shoot by manually fixing the shutter angle, ISO, etc., it is compatible with variable ND. The recommended flow is simple. ① Determine the frame rate ② Fix the shutter angle around 180 degrees ③ Fix the ISO low ④ Turn the variable ND to darken the part that is still too bright in the ND2 to ND32 range. Raise the shutter and don't be fooled. The movement becomes natural, and there is a feeling that “images that look like that” can be created even during the day. (Incidentally, the 2 photos showing the orange bag of lens cleaner in the reference photo were taken with ND2 and ND32 in the same environment. The difference in brightness (darkness) is obvious.) Magnetic attachment is smooth. Click to inhale and turn to adjust concentration. It feels good here. However, since it is magnetic, anxiety about misalignment or falling remains depending on conditions. It is assumed that insurance is covered by the attached strap. It's safe to hold down the filter lightly with your hands while shooting. Another thing to note is the angle of view. When switching to 0.5x or telephoto, there may be vignetting or misalignment. The trick is to carefully adjust the mounting position. Also, it is convenient that it comes with a compact case. You won't get lost even if you throw it in your bag. Speaking of greed, it was even safer to have an attachment that quickly covers the lens surface during storage. Nonetheless, it also comes with a lens cleaner cloth, which is kind. You can create a flow where fingerprints and dust are wiped and taken immediately. Although it has a small weakness, it is a tool that takes daytime video expression one step further. It's an item that changes “how to create exposure” for smartphone photography.

I picked up this lens filter because I wanted to improve the quality of my outdoor photos. It fits well on iPhone 17 pro, staying secure when moving around with my phone. Compatibility - check. The lens filter worked reasonably well with a only light blooming and X pattern being visible. It did have a fairly noticable color shift, though.I am very happy with the case and small lanyard that is included.Given the functionality and at the current list price of $43, I'd say it's a decent value.
