I deliberately bought the 82mm version of the K&F CONCEPT Starburst filter (6 points). This size offers maximum flexibility to adapt the filter to various lenses in my system using step-up rings.

Processing & box contents: The filter is delivered in a robust plastic box, which serves as an adequate storage solution. In my case, three individually packaged cleaning cloths were also included, a useful accessory. The filter thread is neatly finished and can be easily screwed onto the lens.

Functionality in practice: The decisive feature of this filter is the ability to rotate the stars. In this model, the adjustment mechanism runs very cleanly and smoothly. The K and F Concept 77mm Variable Short Line Star Lens Filter is designed for photographers who want creative starburst effects with control. The optical glass feels high quality, and the adjustable star lines allow customization instead of locking you into a fixed look.

I went with the largest sized filter that matches my largest diameter lens so that I can use step up rings on my smaller lens diameters to make best use of the filter. This filter creates 4 lines, which can be moved to the desired position by rotation. The principle is the same as with a streak filter, but with even more lines.

Depending on the lens and aperture, and of course the corresponding light sources, you can create very nice special effects with this. Since the time of lights will soon come on again, such a filter for one or the other photo is a lot of fun.

The mechanical production is of high quality. The filter is easy to screw on and off, even significant temperature differences do not change this. And even the glass only does what it should and nothing else. Loss of sharpness or the like is not to be reported. The sample images illustrate quite well what you can expect and are not exaggerating.

Packaging & First Impression
Said, done. The filter came neatly packaged in a practical plastic outer packaging, which is also suitable for further storage. A nice extra: It included 3 cleaning cloths, of which, as you know, you can never have enough of as a photographer.

The filter itself looks very well made. I deliberately ordered it in 82mm so that I could also use it on smaller diameter lenses via adapters.

Handling & Performance
The filter is very easy to screw onto the lens without snagging. The adjustment of the effect, i.e. the rotation of the filter to orient the stars, is absolutely clean and smooth. This allows you to position the 4-pointed stars in the image exactly as you wish.

Conclusion
I didn't notice any problems or deficiencies during testing. The filter delivers exactly the effect it promises and the quality is right. That's why I can give the K&F Starburst filter the full 5-star rating!

The effect that this filter produces is the classic 4-pointed star.
However, there are some recommendations for those who have no experience with this kind of creative filters.
In particular, it should be taken into account that the effect is visible and appreciable when we include point lights, such as Christmas lights, in the frame. For larger light sources, the effect is less visible or even zero. For the rest, excellent filter, sold with a hard case and three cleaning cloths.
Among other things, I noticed that it does not affect exposure, so it does not require compensation.

With the “Starburst 6-point filter” I expected the typical, very high quality of “K&F CONCEPT” accessories... and was not disappointed. I got the 77 mm version for the 24-120 from Nikon.
The build quality of this filter is exceptional. The aluminum ring is well machined. There is no play between the elements. The filter can be smoothly rotated, giving the possibility to adjust the stars' pints. Both threads (towards the lens and the exterior) are very smooth, making attaching the filter to the lens or an additional filter a pleasant experience.
The shape and size of the stars look consistent across the frame. As the glass is treated, there aren't any visible reflections added by this filter. Of course results will depend a lot on the aperture used, the smaller the aperture, the more pronounced the effect is.
