I thought Id try a cheap fluid head (Again after many years) and found I actually like it as much as my expensive GIMBEL. Its compact light weight and tilts smooth and FAST... the one drawback - the pan is not smooth - Ive noticed this on other fluid heads though. This is not alone. Would love to get one that had a really smooth pan that's fast.

Excellent, the only thing I didn't like is that the head won't loosen when the panoramic bar rotates, but the vertical and horizontal knobs have to be released independently.

If you want a strong smooth tripod head this is it. My tripod head broke with my new spotting scope, so I bought this one and I am super happy with this holds the spotting scope great highly recommend.

Great! Very simple to use, it's solid, the removable arm is great, it adapted perfectly to my tripod, I'm already using it to work and the vertical and horizontal adjustments are perfect! The fit of the plate is good, but always check that it is perfectly fastened, with this or any other model. Well, I know it's superfluous, but if you like K&F Concept, you're obviously going to love the color combination.

Update November 2025. I am still using this head for the Seestar S50 every night I have clear skies. I have no idea why anyone would spend significant amounts of money on equilateral wedges. This works perfectly for the Seestar S50 in EQ mode. It’s a fantastic match. The icing on the cake is adjustments are smooth as silk and when I need to lock it down, it’s not going anywhere. I had to go through several returns of other heads that were not a good match. It was worth it. Just get this one and you’ll be happy. (I’m a stickler when it comes to quality). I hope this saves you the guesswork!Using for a Seestar S50 in equilateral mode. No need for pricey wedges when this works perfect (due to the Seestar walking you thru adjustments live). Has the 1/4 to 3/8 adapter and all the adjustment knobs lock it into position without having to wrench on them. This has a band inside with the “fluid”. You can tell based on how the head rebounds (slowly) and only when nothing is mounted. Another plus for Seestar use is the knobs are lower than the plate.. so there are no clearance issues with the base of the Seestar. Been using nightly for 3 weeks and love it.

This thing is built like a tank with good quality aluminum parts, tightening knobs are smooth.Use it to hold a Seestar S50 at an angle(~5 pounds) and it does great.
