This is a great microscope for a learner, It worked out great for my son. I am very happy with this purchase.

Excellent microscope. Even if it doesn‘t have the image quality of a more expensive microscope, it does allow you to see certain cells with an acceptable level of detail. I'm glad that a microscope like this one was available at that price because I couldn't have spent the money for a professional microscope, but I still wanted to see some cells and micro organisms that are not easy to see with a toy microscope.

We all love the microscope! It is great! It is very smart looking, and does everything that it is advertised to do.My grandson really enjoys it he‘s always finding new things to look at he will be traveling from GA to CA for summer
break and he has already asked can he take it. That's great for an 8 yr old who is so busy with school and sports.
We couldn't be happier with this purchase and the price was reasonable although I think a small booklet should be
included for basic instructions.

This is a photo of an extremely tiny bug (spider mite?) that was behind the leaf of an indoor plant. I thought it was an egg cause it was smaller than the size of a dot. VERY difficult to even see with the naked eye. I wet a q-tip with water and swooped it up without harm so it’s fully in tact. It’s clearly a full size bug that could fit on the tip of a needle! WOW!!!!! Very impressive!!!!!

We did A LOT of research on microscopes before we settled on these. We wanted something high quality for our teenagers but not crazy expensive in case our kids lose interest. They loved this scope! It was easy for them to use (just like they have at school), and everything worked like it was supposed to. For the price, we felt we got s very high quality instrument to last for many years. We also purchased extra pre-made slides by Kentfaith so the kids had something to look at right away. They also had a lot of fun finding their own objects to look at under the scope. We are so glad we went with this model and didn’t go for the cheaper student models. This scope will most likely take them through college. We are very happy with our purchase.

I needed an inexpensive microscope to do livestock fecal exams. This one is perfect. Instructions were vague, but just taking a few minutes and playing with it, I was able to figure it out. It is able to show good magnification for the McMaster slide.

While not super sophisticated, this works great. I read other reviews and had some concerns thinking I might have to return this, but I‘m quite satisfied with the functionality given the price point.
I added the provided 3x AA batteries, flicked on the power (light worked great), found a spec of wood fiber and just put it on a slide (which I had bought separately for a few bucks), clipped the slide in, and it was immediately in focus (which was a happy accident). The zoom in/out controls worked well - tight enough to feel solid, but loose enough to turn without much effort.
When switching to higher magnification, I had to turn the brightness up which was easy with the adjustment knob.
I should have gotten a scope with controls for a sliding table/shelf because at these scales moving the slide is very sensitive. But I got what I needed with this.
I would suggest this for a beginner (like me) who is in need of seeing tiny things :)
If I have longevity issues with this, I'll update this review; but for now, it has done exactly what I needed.

Purchased this microscope for homeschool science use, and it does everything we need it to do, with very little fuss. Good value for the money.

I got this for my kids because they love science. We’ve been looking for a great quality reasonable priced microscope & purchased this one based on a recommendation. I was very excited when we received it because it looked just like the ones we used in my high school biology and physics classes. I knew right away it would last be durable & actually work the way it’s supposed to. It’s inspired my young kids to start a science journal. Great buy!
