I am a second career nursing student who took a biology class this semester that made heavy use of light microscopes. I was impressed with what I was able to see through and do with this one. I purchased it for my son, but I have had a great time using it with him. He is 5 and can use it with help, but this seems like a great microscope for middle school through college purposes, too.

I needed a good beginner microscope for an upper elementary homeschool student. I must say I have not been disappointed. We have really enjoyed viewing cells under the microscope. This is a microscope that I think we can use until he graduates high school.

we bought some premade slides too. They‘ve worked great with this microscope. My kids love science and this really helps them see the little things we walk about in science class. Feels well made and pretty comparable to the ones I used in my microbiology courses in college (as in, it's not super cheap and the light makes things clear unlike some cheaper microscopes I've used in the past).

We are giving this to my 7 year old son for Christmas. We looked through a lot of reviews and this microscope seemed to be pretty well received. The only thing that I wish this had was a top mounted light so that he could look at things that can‘t be lit from beneath.
We tried it out and it is very clear. The build quality seems very sturdy. My wife works in the lab at our local hospital and she seemed to be pretty impressed with the quality for the price.
I would recommend this if you are looking for a microscope that balances affordability and quality

This is perfect for beginners! I got this for my ten year old to do his homeschool labs. Powered by batteries or cord, which is pretty sweet. I got pre-made slides to ensure a good first experience and he spent an extra hour of his free time using this microscope. Great purchase!

I had a goat pass and no vet around I needed a fecal test don‘t to see worm eggs and it did that amazingly. It's amazing. It seems so much and now I can save the rest of my goats! The picture of tapeworm eggs and liver fluke worm eggs. I'll post more pictures once I'm done with my tests

Bought this for my eight year old daughter who is totally into science. She already had a microscope that could go up to 400X but she wanted one that was more powerful and one that she could use with her computer so I bought her this microscope with the USB camera: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AMOEFPA?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_5I can tell you that she absolutely loves this setup. She was outside picking flowers, leaves, grass and everything else she could get her hands on to look at them and take pictures. If you have a budding scientist or this is for your use, I would definitely recommend it and if you want to use this with your computer, try the USB camera as well, it works great.
