As a homeschooling parent I enjoy sharing tools with my children that allow them to explore the world and expand their understanding of how it works. This microscope is a wonderful teaching tool. It is a professional-level microscope with multiple lenses, which allows us to examine a variety of subjects from insects to cells. The range of magnification spans from forty times to twenty-five hundred times, which is strong enough to examine single cells and identify the major components. We are currently studying protists, so we took samples from our local river to examine under this microscope. Not only were we able to view multiple types of phytoplankton, including Ankistrodesmus, were even able to take photos and record video by attaching a phone to the eyepiece mount. I absolutely love that I can mount my phone, and all my students can view the same thing at the same time. This microscope comes with a sturdy, protective case made from cloth and lots of foam. It includes fifty blank slides and slips. The USB-C cord is handy, but this also runs on batteries, which makes this a great option for fieldwork. This is highly adjustable from the level of light to the placement of the slide to the focus of the lenses. As someone who doesn't regularly use a microscope, it was a bit of a learning curve for me. For this reason I would recommend this for children over the age twelve. In my opinion, this would work well for educational, scientific and professional purposes. I'm so impressed with this.
