UV/protection filters of the more sophisticated kind…
The filter comes very well packaged in a box that can be converted into a picture frame. It is actually stored in a very high-quality leather case with an ejection strap, so that you don't have to poke your fingers into the filter disc when removing it. The filter and its mechanism are very exquisitely crafted; despite its compact ("Slim") dimensions, the filter thread can be easily screwed in without any scraping noises or frequent attempts to attach it. Once tightened, it can also be loosened again with moderate force, provided the internal thread of the lens is undamaged and of the same high quality. The ridged areas are really helpful here, as you don't slip along the filter! The "glass" of the Nano-X Pro series should be beyond reproach and be among the highest quality in terms of quality and workmanship. Of course, as a "normal photographer" without a laboratory, it's impossible to test this in detail, but the fact that it can be unscrewed without any noticeable change is a solid basis. The UV filter is of course only important for purist color film photographers, but with this level of light transmission it's not a problem for digital photography. The "protective filter" has cleverly been included in the official product name. Otherwise, the filter is easy to clean with the right accessories and doesn't seem to be a dust magnet. I personally use the filter with a Z7 on the Z85 1.8 as a protective filter - I don't notice any deterioration; everything remains "pin sharp" and the bokeh is neutral, even in strong (back)lighting conditions. However, true qualities only become apparent after several rough sessions and filter cleanings... Conclusion: If you want to play it safe with filters and want to install truly high-quality lenses, you've certainly found a potential candidate here.
