It can be adjusted to any height. You just have to open a sort of flap at the bottom and you can take out the rods, when you close the flaps the rods are tight. It's really very simple. At the top of the tripod is the screw where you can unscrew the camera or cell phone. We tried both and it worked without any problems. The tripod was still stable and secure. The tripod head rotates 360°. My dad loves it and we both think the tripod is good quality for the price. Now my dad can take photos for any occasion and they will all be perfect.
