Nice to have, just know there are some limitations
Perfect fit on the Mini 3 pro, easy to just carefully twist off the stock lens and swap this in. Optical clarity seems pretty good compared to the factory setup as well.
It's certainly nice to be able to account for bright, direct sun, but there may be some drawbacks. For my test photos I set the variable lens to #1 and flew up to take a quick shot of the landscape at about 5pm when there's very direct sun. Colors were good and the sky looked great. I quickly landed the drone and then adjusted it to the #5, which is much darker. In that photo you'll see that it's not just darker but maybe a shade of brown, which I can correct for... the bigger issue is you can see the edges start to get overly dark. It's not terrible but it's just one of those things to look out for in a variable style lens. You may not even notice it depending on what you're shooting.
