Looks great on the main lens
I’ve been flying with this filter set on my mavic 4 pro for a couple of weeks now, and overall I’ve been really pleased with it. I mostly wanted something to help with bright daylight flying—better motion blur, less glare, and more control over exposure. This kit seemed like a good balance of features without going into the really expensive pro-level gear.
I took it down to the coast last weekend—open skies, bright sun, and plenty of reflective water—and the ND16/PL worked really well. Glare off the sea was reduced, colours looked more natural, and the sky had more depth without being blown out. Footage from the main wide-angle camera looked smooth and sharp. I also got some really nice side-to-side tracking shots that felt less harsh compared to shooting without filters, where you’d normally get that choppy stutter from high shutter speeds.
The filters are super easy to use. You just push them into place and go—no need to mess around with locking mechanisms or recalibrating the gimbal. They feel well made too—lightweight but solid enough that I don’t worry about them falling off mid-flight. The small case they come in is a nice bonus and fits easily into my bag.
The only downside I’ve noticed is with the 6x zoom lens. I tried zooming in on a fishing boat just offshore, and the footage came out noticeably soft. There’s a kind of glow around bright edges, like it’s not quite focused. I tested it again on a different flight and got the same result. Without the filter, the zoom camera looked much clearer, so it’s definitely something to do with the glass. If you mostly use the zoom lens, this could be a dealbreaker.
For me, though, I mostly shoot wide, so it’s not a huge issue. As long as I stick to the main camera, these filters do exactly what I need—control the light, reduce glare, and help produce cleaner-looking footage. Just something to keep in mind depending on how you fly.
Overall, a great little set for the right kind of use. Not perfect, but a solid upgrade for daylight flying.
