Clear-Night Filter has always been a challenge for photographers who like to photograph cities at night. This unpleasant haze makes capturing stars and celestial objects a lot more challenging. The new K&F Concept Light Pollution Filter is available for DSLRs with lens and helps to reduce the effects of light pollution. The special coating on the filter helps stop the yellow and orange wavelengths of light from entering the lens resulting in clearer photographs of the night sky. For architectural shots or long exposures in the urban environment, even delicate structures and contrasts are maintained in the subject and no longer overexposed. By means of extensive filtering of the warmer wavelengths of light, photographs are effectively ‘cooled down’ retaining the same detail and contrasts that you see with your eyes. As a result of this cooling effect, we recommend that photographers always use manual white balance and select a color temperature between 700K and 1500K of the reading that was taken without the filter inserted, to ensure the color authenticity of your pictures.

High quality product with good price
I haven't tried this out yet and am trying it, but I've compared Hue to a (much more expensive) Kase 150mm filter which leads me to believe it'll be fine. It's packaged really well and has a brown leather case to store the filter which actually fits quite nicely in my Lowepro filter bag - I think I'll keep it in the bag too, not just to protect it, I will easy to spot in the dark! This glass filter fits my Nisi and Lee holder systems perfectly, so I give it five stars for the build quality and the fact that it looks like it does what I need it to do. I'll update this review if I spot anything different after taking the first set of photos with it.

Well priced fantastic filter
Filter is perfect. Great results for a good price.For me the only disadvantage is the very big universal filter box my 52 mm filter came in. Unpractical for compact travelers

Very good for this price
Safe transport packaging. The lens shows no abnormalities at a rough overview. There is no shading or gradient visible. I think for an 18-55mm lens it's perfectly adequate. The filter will show its true face the first time it is used.

Serves its purpose
I used some pictures with this filer during a cruise in Daubei Doha etc. It definitely serves its purpose. The images are much more impressive with this filter.

Very satisfied and I will buy again because I lost the old one...
The filter arrives in a great box in which the filter is held well and you can also tell the value of the box and the filter. Unfortunately I lost it in the dark recently, but that wasn't because of the box but because of me... simply screwed it too loosely to my lens and fortunately took some nice pictures at the twilight hour beforehand. I'll order it again, just don't know when, since we're not really allowed to be out for long at night anyway... The colors in the pictures are good, but I can't compare other providers with such a filter. The price is ok and Christmas is just around the corner: so it's worth putting it on the wish list for those who need it ;))

No it does not, it keeps the city lights or the light the eminates from populated areas from getting in. So you get a clearer picture of stars, I used it a few times and it works but if you live in a heavy light polluted area it may not make much difference.

If you can fit a 67 mm UV filter on the end of lens this should work without touching the glass. You could get the 82mm version and use a stop down adapter.

LPRs are designed to filter both mercury vapor and sodium spectral lines. I cannot answer via personal observation how good of a job it filters Mercury Vapor as my city phased those out long ago.
Of note, I would classify this filter as a broadband filter, if you have a higher amount of light pollution you might opt for a narrowband or line filter instead to see better results.
