The device responds reliably, but you have to turn it slowly
Perfectly adequate and good for occasional use. Now the device has a different use. At my 9 year old grandson's birthday party, a grass coin hunt was started. The children got along well with the device. Next stop Strand!

A good device to start with
A metal detector is pretty good to start with. Finds metals at shallow depths. At first, you need to read the user manual to understand the symbols. Being able to plug in normal jack headphones and then not annoy the environment is also great.

After trying another device and being very disappointed at a kids birthday party, we opted for this device later on and son is very happy.
