A quality filter from K&F, works great and my only complaint is I should have purchased it for my 77mm instead of my 58mm filters. I will get a lot of use from this black diffusion mist filter for that cinematic look.

This filter is a combination black diffusion and variable ND filter (ND2-32). The black diffusion element of the filter creates a dreamy effect. The variable ND reduces incoming light over the range of 1 to 5 stops. Product description states that the design of the variable ND eliminates the dreaded "X" effect. I have not shot using this filter in a situation in which that "X" effect might occur, but if they have been able to eliminate that, then they have done a great job in design. For anyone who has experienced the "X" effect, it is a nasty effect caused by the two-polarizer design of many variable ND filters, so not having that is terrific.

The filters fits perfectly on my 82mm lenses. This can also be used with step-down rings for lenses having smaller filter threads.

So wonderful to get a more film like vintage look on digital. Absolutely amazing for shooting portraits of women and doing nice videos as well. The ND works great without much issue and has a very wide range of stops to darken up the brightest of scenes

I got this filter for a two fold purpose. One to add protection for the lens when I'm out shooting, and second to add some effects to my shooting. I like to mix it up with effects and this filter has added new dynamics to my shooting of B-Roll. It screws onto the barrel easily and the added black mist effects I'm looking for look great.

Didn’t know what to expect, but this filter does what it’s supposed to. The build feels decent, threading is smooth, and so far, no weird tints or major issues. It’s not magic, though—just a solid piece of glass that works if you use it right.

There’s a more expensive version, and yeah, maybe under the right conditions you’d notice a difference, but for most situations, this one holds up fine. Like any filter, if things go sideways, it’s usually down to user error or lighting rather than the glass itself. That said, I’ve had bad filters before, and this doesn’t seem to have any of the usual problems.

No real complaints. For the price, it does the job, and I haven’t found a reason to switch brands yet. If you need a haze filter and don’t want to overthink it, this is a safe bet.

Good Quality filter. The black diffusion softens the image just enough for portrait photography.

This filter fits my 24-105 perfectly and easy to adjust with no x issues. I like that it has markers on the ring and well made. The ring turns smoothly and stays in place. Love the effect this filter produces.

I'm guessing by the 5 star rating, you can tell where the Headline is going to end up... so I'll keep it short.

I have been very happy with ALL my K&F Concept products so far, and this filter is NO EXCEPTION!

The build quality is on par with the best I've ever paid (too much) for... no names mentioned, and it functions exactly like you would expect a piece of Japanese Glass would work... that being said... this is their entry level offering, and they do offer a PRO version (amongst others) that when 'pixel peeping' you MAY notice a difference between... however I have found the most times it's user error or hardware malfunction where most filters fail their photographers. If the environment is conducive to the lens without a filter... I will Always shoot that way, however WHEN a filter is recommended/required ... for my usage K&F Concepts beats many many others Hands Down No Questions FULL STOP.

I find the operation to be extremely easy and the ND End Stops make it Impossible (in my usage) to manifest the dreaded "X" . I have yet to find a reason to buy another brand of filter since finding K&F years ago, their quality, along with 'reasonable' price points, make them (for the foreseeable future) my Go To solution.

There is 1 thing I'm a bit perplexed about with this specific filter... it DOES in deed fit an 82mm lens mount... HOWEVER once installed, you are unable to use the 82mm lens cap you had on your lens, as the filter goes up in size from the mount to the front of the filter... and the cap is now too small. So you'll either 1) have to buy an additional cap if you intend to leave this on camera, or 2) Remove/Install it every time you reach for that 24-70mm (for example).

If My Humble Opinion matters... K&F Concepts has my full support!!

I hope this helps.

All the K&F camera equipment I've tried is terrific quality and a great value. This is no exception. Don't get pulled into paying more for a name with this kind of stuff, this is every bit as good as some of the more premium priced brands, but at a much more reasonable price. Fits well, nicely machined and top quality glass.

This is a review for the item sold on AMAZON with the following description:
K&F Concept Nano-Klear Black-Mist Filter 1/8" & ND2-32, 67mm Black Diffusion Filter 1/8" & ND2-32 Variable Optical Glass Filter with Nano Coating and 3-Piece Cleaning Cloth.
This is a high quality filter with multi-layer glass nano-coating filtering with a metal alloy chassis with a size in my case for a 67mm lens/lens threaded filter holder (mainly medium-sized lenses and APSC or M4/3 formats), in the sales announcement you can buy the appropriate size for each lens (as a tip if you have several lenses/lenses with various sizes 62mm> 67mm> 72mm> 77mm> 82mm, not too far apart, and you do not want to invest in a variable ND filter for each of them, you can buy the largest size and then set aside a size adapter ring to attach it to the smaller lens, for example a 77mm to also adapt to 72> 67 lenses, or an 82 (usual for wide-angle focal lengths 24-70 FF Ex: 24-70mm 2.8) to adapt to 77mm (usual wide-angle to medium telephoto FF focal lengths) eg.24-105mm or medium to long telephoto lenses (70-200mm / 70-300mm ....); This variable ND filter system performs controlled light attenuations thanks to its rotary adjustment (ND2 > ND 32), making softened contrasts and giving a much natural look to photos even in intense sunlight (less harsh images). Thanks to its multi-layer construction in addition to resistance, it provides slightly defined attenuated images in their strong light / dark contrasts, without reflections or flares or chromatic aberrations, and no X pattern defects occur throughout the attenuation range as is often the case with other brands and models in lower ranges. It can correct light attenuation of up to about 5 steps (speed or aperture) or that allows working even at lower ISOs. It's actually a combination of two features in a single filter: variable neutral density (light attenuation while maintaining soft, unsaturated highlights with good skin textures in portraits) and black diffusion haze. By being able to work at lower shutter speeds, certain motion blur effects can be better achieved without affecting the brightness of the shots or their shallow depth of field. It's also very suitable for landscapes with long exposures and for achieving jump effects or silky water movements (waves, waterfalls, river courses, etc.).
This K&F brand has been confirming itself for years as one of the best on the market for filters and other photographic accessory materials, in terms of an excellent price/versatility/quality ratio. Many of its models offer a wide range of quality to suit our budget and needs, whether those of a beginner photographer, amateur photographer, advanced photographer, or even professional ranges of the highest quality. As a courtesy from the brand, along with the filter and its protective case, we send a set of three small, high-quality microfiber cleaning cloths, packaged separately in an airtight aluminum envelope. These cloths are extremely useful and durable for keeping your lenses, filters, lenses, or LCD screens perfectly clean, without the risk of scratches or damage caused by other types of paper cleaning wipes or improvised clothing.
Given the aforementioned performance and solid construction, and the other factors already mentioned, my rating for this optical filter system for photography, also taking into account its reasonable retail price, is:

"5 STARS". [ * * * * * ]. Recommended purchase.
I hope you find this review useful. Best regards. :^).
