What I love about it is the fact that it doesn't require anything other than plugging it into my iPhone and I have a "working endoscope" which is great. It connects directly to my phone via the "Lightning Connector" and after I downloaded the app and I accepted the appropriate "permissions", the app was on the screen and I had a great view through the camera. The camera has a very useful light that can be turned on/off and adjusted to any available brightness by simply turning the wheel on the box attached to the cable and it works very smoothly and well. The cable has a “slight stiffness” so it can easily be pushed down or through areas, but it is also “playable” enough that it twists through curves, bends around corners, etc. I love that it does too Offers a variety of attachments, from a small mini hook to a mirror and also a magnetic option, all of which I find super easy to attach or remove. The app also offers nice controls. In the app I can "Rotate image, flip image, make black and white and more" and then the controls to capture are simply "One tap" on the appropriate button, "Photo" or "Video" and it will appear in the apps folders, and it's nice that I can then easily download them to my phone's gallery. Overall I think this is a very useful, easy to use, great kit and works great.

had to explore the very narrow space behind the back of my refrigerator and the back wall. Since the cable is flexible, it wouldn't go exactly where I wanted it to go. I tied the cable near the end of the camera to a thin 1/4 inch round plastic rod, 2 feet long, with plastic ties. Now I could maneuver the camera and look at all the areas I wanted to see. There are numerous uses for which it can be put. I've also used it to check the condition of the exterior trim on my windows without having to climb a ladder.

I got this as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend this year and he was elated! It is exactly as described, and the camera is GREAT quality. It is super user friendly and will be a tool that will be utilized for so many different things around the home and at his job as a contractor. I highly recommend this!

The app starts automatically when the camera is connected. (Good). It is difficult to orient the camera so that the camera view is right side up. (annoying) A 5 meter long flexible cable is too long in my opinion. I would like a 1-1.5 m long cable. (annoying)

The endoscope features a dimmable bright light and comes with a little hook attachment in case you need to snag something. There's a side mirror feature as well which provides 360º viewing. The cable is stiff enough that you don't feel like you're "pushing a rope," and yet it coils up nicely for stowing.

The only thing I'd add is the option of covering the lens with a wee removable protective filter (as one is advised to do with a regular camera lens). It has the threads in place to do so.

Obviously for the price point we won't be using this for major surgery, but for practical investigations this scope is great!

It's really useful for seeing where we don't normally go. In my case I used it to check the bottom of the roller shutter drawers. It looks perfect and is very easy to use. I downloaded the app for the phone, connected it and it ran. The lighting can be leveled.
