I got both the ND100000 (16.6 stop) and ND1000000 (20 stop) for the Apr 8 2024 eclipse. They both worked well. I used the 20 stop during full sun at ISO100 f8 exposed between 1/4 to 1 second. The 16.6 stop max'd out at 1/1000 sec during full sun, but worked great shooting thru thin clouds with about a 1 second exposure. These are a good inexpensive choice for solar photography. Sun spot will show but you need an hydrogen alpha (Ha) filter for solar flares. CAUTION As the amount of UV blocking is not known, don't use the optical viewfinder, instead use the electronic live-view screen to protect your eyes!

This filter produces crystal clear images when attached to my 800mm lens. I never really considered taking pictures of the sun until this showed up as a suggested product since I am really into photography. It has allowed me to get some really unique shots that I had never planned on trying a few months ago.

I have several K&F filters and they, like this one, are all of quality materials and construction. This filter is extremely dark and is taking a little of my time to get used to and to use correctly. That is no manner of discouragement to the filter as it is doing the job intended, but instead I'm just advising you to take your time and do not give up as, in the end, it works great.

I have a number of K&F Concepts filters and have yet to be unhappy with the results of using any of them, and this ND filter is no different.
Results are similar to those of a different company's ND1000000 filter, but photo quality may be slightly sharper. (I'm not sure, but at worst, it's certainly equal.)
I'm happy with the results I've obtained thus far and plan to use this filter a lot more this summer.
