Automatic Chicken Coop Door, Solar Powered Chicken Coop Door, With Timer and Light Sensor, Manual & Remote Control, 4 Modes, Waterproof, Anti Pinch Design, Australian Power Cord
SKU: GW60.0031AU
I've been using this for several months. I use the timer over the light sensor. The light sensor is NOT sensitive enough to open and close with the sun. But it works fine on a timer. I'd prefer light sensitive so I wouldn't have to adjust it as the days shorten.
I created a custom wood frame to attach the door to, my preference . Remote works from a long distance which I appreciate.

Easy to install. Great options for modes. I wish the solar panel could be screwed down. Its very windy here. Also the usb-c port isn't the most ideal location.

The door works as expected. Seems well built. I knocked a star off because where they located the power cord connection for the solar panel is a very poor design. Sticks down where the birds go in and out.

Surprisingly little effort was required to complete the installation. I was able to set it up without any problems, which is impressive considering my lack of experience in technical matters. Because of the detailed instructions that were supplied, I was able to get the door opener working in no time at all. The door opener for the coop is made of aluminum, which gives it a solid and durable feel and reassures me that it will continue to function well for a long time. The functioning of this door opener is powered by solar energy, which is what really sets it apart from similar products. There is no need for the batteries to be changed or for the device to be connected to an external power supply. During the day, the integrated solar panel quickly and effectively recharges the device, guaranteeing that it will continue to function reliably throughout the night. This door opener is not only a more environmentally responsible option, but it also helps me save time, so it's a win-win scenario. The features of the timer and light sensor are quite innovative and clever. In order to provide my hens with a routine that is always the same, I use the timer, which allows me to establish exact opening and shutting times for the coop door. The light sensor, on the other hand, is responsible for determining how much natural light is there and regulating the door appropriately. Because of this degree of automation, my mornings and evenings are now free, and I am able to concentrate on other parts of taking care of my chickens. The remote control that is included is a useful addition to the package. When I need to manually operate the door or make changes without having to visit the coop, it comes in handy to have this feature. My ability to handle the door from a considerable distance is made possible by its amazing range.

Have had this for a few months now and very pleased. Easy to install and program. As long as the solar charging cord is pinned out of the way you won’t have any issues.

The display screen in not bright like the picture. We have not had a chance to test the automatic door yet. We really hope the solar panel is water proof with at the rain we get. This mostly works and the part that I think might not work could be because there's something I'm not quite understanding. That said, instructions could be a little bit more explicit. But as usual these days pretty bare bones.
I tried to program it for automatic open and closing at specific times and I cannot get that to work. Nothing happens at designated time once set. What I did notice happened three times is that at the end of setting the door closed time the door opened part way and then closed twice, and the third time I set the door closed time the door went from completely close to completely open and stayed there.
Holding door open button will get it to open, holding the door closed button eventually we will get it to close but at least one time it completely closed then open two inches and then completely closed again.
Using the setting for opening with light and closing when the light goes away seems to work fine. The only thing is when it goes to close it'll close all the way and then open 2 inches and then close again. Maybe there's a reason for that that I'm not aware of. There is a little bit of a delay for when the light is removed before it starts to close which is a good programming.
I tried it with both solar power and battery and both work.
