We’ve had these coop doors (2) for about 2 months and they are functioning exactly as expected. We chose this coop door because we did not want a door that extended vertically along the coop wall. Our coop design did not have space for that. The hens and even the roosters can fit through this door. Installation was pretty straightforward. We installed them into 1/2 inch hardware cloth. It’s great not having to wake up early and be home early to open/close the coop doors.

Installed great. I think the chickens love it as much as we do because they're not waiting on us to 'close the door' at night and let them back out in the morning if we get tied up on other things. Love the automated feature and the sturdiness from predators.

I got this for my mom so that she wouldn't have to go out to her chicken coop every morning and night to open and close her chicken door. This door works well; it reliably opens and closes according to its settings. My mom loves it!

Great door and pretty sturdy but with it not having a security feature to sense for chickens at the door when closing is a big downside. Do now we need to be present when closing it which kind of defeats the purpose

So far it is working without any issues. Well built, good instructions, easy install.

Coop door works great. Chickens learned within about an hour of using it. Now they wait for the door to open.

This door is perfect for our new coop! It's so convenient to be able to set the timers and let it go! If something pops up in life and we don't make it to the coop at dusk the chickens put themselves up and go to bed for the night! Such a stress relief to know that my girls are safe and secure!

It was super easy to install and set up. Love having this to let my chickens in and out of their coop. They are free range but I don’t want other critters getting my chickens and this is the perfect solution. We will be getting more when we expand our coop.

I finally got my hands on one of these automatic chicken doors! I've been wanting one for a while now, and it'll be the perfect addition to my new coop that's under construction. I tested it out outside and I'm happy to report it seems to be working exactly as intended. The aluminum frame and door construction feels very sturdy, and overall, it seems like a well-made product.
While the electronics are working fine for now, they don't quite strike me as the highest quality and don't appear to be very well sealed. Ideally, they would be more weatherproof for long-term use. Another thing I noticed is that the bottom bar of the door, which will likely be exposed to the most moisture, isn't made of aluminum and could potentially rust over time.
The battery setup is a little unusual as well. It has a built-in lithium battery that gets charged by the solar panel, but there's also a separate backup system that uses 3 AA batteries. Oddly enough, the solar panel doesn't charge the AA batteries.
Lastly, the LCD screen on my unit doesn't have a backlight like the one in the product pictures or customer photos I saw online. However, since I'm planning to use only the light sensor mode, I probably won't need to mess with the settings too often. In a pinch, I can still use the buttons or the remote control to open or close the door manually from the door buttons. Overall, this automatic chicken door seems like a solid addition to my coop.
