This is my second microscope, this one is far better than previous one. It does have 5000x zoom based on my experience. Build quality of the microscope is amazing.

It does include a petri dish, a test tube, 10 slides, a 10+ glass cover, droppers, needles, etc. It has electric camera in the box that has amazing video quality.

I made my hair's slide just to see and in one of my photos you can see the zoom. It is not the maximum. I am planning on oberving some metals and their grain structures.

It does come with 10 premade slides, I put onion epidermis and it is far better than previous microscope.

I am taking off 1 star because, they loosely packed needels in the package without any warning. I get it that it is for smart people but it is not safe to do so. Packaging for pointy and sharp object could be improved.

Another issue is with the drivers of the camera/electronic eye piece. They have included a CD so technically they are good. But who has a CD reader these days? I was able to download Strange Vision driver of internet. I am not sure if they are the right kind but it works. They can easily put a QR code with a driver download link.

The camera doesn't work with Android or other systems, you need windows system to install the driver.

Dirty needed to be cleaned of dust.

I liked how there wasnt a bait azad and switch!! Everything that was in the add was there!!

My item just arrived yesterday and i tried to get it working, so far i have been able to get item working. The manual is of less importance, and it is making it difficult to get one set up the phone connection. I wish there was an effective manual. If anyone has a solution on how to install and get the phone connection working, please let me know. I notice the eyepiece head can only rotate (but unstable) with the holding screw unlocked, it thus makes it very unstable and difficult. Picture quality is good, 3rd eye, and PC connect, good too. Now we shall watch how it holds up in the next weeks when subjected to sample examination.

If you are just starting out into the world of digital microscopic viewing, this microscope would be pretty good for such. A few issues in areas I wished hadn't come up though. First is the way this focuses. Not the most precise, especially when using high magnification. Also feel the software used here in a bit antiquated, and really didn't to well. Not to mention, this info came on a Mini-CD?!?! How many still have the ability to play a Mini-CD? Get with the times! But this is a Trinocular Microscope. Which is great to get your feet wet with a Trinocular Microscope. But what is a Trinocular Microscope. Thanks for asking... It is a microscope with two eyepieces like a binocular microscope. There is an additional third eyetube for connecting a microscope camera. It's really a binocular with a moving prism assembly. This allows light to the binocular section of the microscope, or to the camera. Lesson ended...
Bottom line, if your looking to get into the world of a Trinocular Microscope this would cover the basics...

It's a nice microscope. Didn't try the software because it seemed kind meh. But as far as prepping slides and looking at things like drops of water, it gets the job done. As others have mentioned the camera field seemed a bit small but otherwise a nice learning tool for young children.
