My son absolutely loves this and I am thrilled with the quality and is much more than I expected.

Doesn't come with instructions and for all my efforts I can only get 1 magnification level to work. Maybe I'm just a dummy though

Honestly I can't even tell you if this works. No directions. None. Cannot get the software to work, on a great PC or a brand new iPad pro. The software is on one of those tiny 2" CDs. No one has a drive for those now. Even through the eyepieces we are struggling to get something we can see at all. My wife has a two masters degrees and still this is just impossible. Just don't buy it. Get something with support. FYI - I replaced this with a different unit and the image in the eyepiece is 4 times larger than this one. This is absolute junk.

This microscope shows promise in meeting basic specifications, and with a refined camera adapter, it has the potential to deliver exceptional image clarity. It is great for high school students, but not for more advanced use.

So I’ve got 4 different full size microscopes now, ranging from a cheap plastic one I use outdoors to this nice unit here. Obviously there are various grades of microscopes with varying levels of build quality and mostly similar features. I would say this is a mid range scope, quite a bit better built than a lower end one and a ton of features such as imager for snapping photos, rotatable head and higher magnification.

I use the scopes for looking at cross sections of plants, leaves and their stalks for various diseases and growth issues. This is definitely a desktop type version. It’s big and it’s got a pretty large base which lends to a rather large viewing area. I really like this aspect of the scope. For me having the inch wide lens vs a much smaller one and gives me much more area in one view.

It’s got all the bells and whistles if you’re looking to get a first scope for a child this would be one heck of a place to start. Can’t imagine getting all these goodies with my first scope, but alas I do much less fun things on it lol honestly I don’t think there’s any downsides to this scope.

It includes a pretty decent carrying case with padding for the scope and all of your accessories as you can see from the photos it’s not like the worlds nicest carrying case but it’s a lot nicer than my other scopes cases which is basically the box they came in.

Great buy for anyone looking for a midrange scope with lots of options.

Comes with several lenses and tools. Was able to see leaves and grass veins through the lenses. Good for kids science class.

Great scope for the price, could use a top-mount slide illumination and a device cover should be included, but overall I am very satisfied.
