Mounted the k&n gear drive to my k&n tripod best thing I ever did works perfect for a heavier camera on full zoom I use the Nikon p1000 absolutely recommend great product and just any type of filming. Not just Stars. Thank you

The quality of this product seemed to be very good. I purchased the gear head to make tracking the solar eclipse easier. Worked out great.

Why I didn't buy one sooner, I have no idea. An excellent geared head. Extremely well constructed. Any landscape / astro / portrait photographer should have this particular model in their kit. Highly reccomend it!

Never going back to a ball head. The control with the gear head is incredible. Easy to set up and use. Fine adjustments take no time. Large adjustments are easy also with the orange quick twist dials.

This was my birthday present, to me. For taking "still life" type photos, it's necessary to position the camera very precisely. I've been trying to use both a standard 3 axes head and a ball head on my tripod for this and neither did the job as well as this. I like how you can easily disengage the gear control for rough positioning, then make the fine adjustments with the larger knob. A great birthday present, even if it came out of my wallet.
