I picked up this wide‑angle lens for my Osmo Action, and it definitely delivers on giving you a much wider field of view. The 185° perspective makes a noticeable difference when you’re trying to capture more scenery or get a more immersive action shot. The threaded installation is simple: just unscrew the stock lens and screw this one on. Once it is seated, it feels solid and secure and ready to shoot the best colors.The build quality is good. The optical glass looks clean, the nano‑coating helps with reflections, and the metal housing feels durable enough for daily use. I also like that it comes with a protective silicone case, since the front element sticks out more than the stock lens and needs the extra protection.I’m giving it four stars because while the center of the image stays sharp, the edges do get softer, and you can see some distortion depending on the lighting and angle. It is expected with a lens this wide, but to me they look a little worse than what they should be. This is something to keep in mind if you’re picky about edge clarity. It’s also not waterproof, so you have to be careful around water or bad weather.Overall, it’s a solid wide‑angle upgrade that gives you a dramatic boost in field of view with easy installation and good build quality.
