Not sure what to really conclude here to be honest...
I have some mixed feelings about this gold diffusion filter, even though there are a lot of things I genuinely like about it. The first thing that stands out is the build quality, which is excellent. The glass itself is very high quality, with excellent light transmission, and the gold speckling does not interfere with image sharpness or clarity in any noticeable way. It simply adds a warmer tone to the image, which is exactly what it is designed to do. From a materials and construction standpoint, this feels like a premium filter made with very good optical glass and solid multi layer coatings.

In use, the filter does exactly what it claims. It produces a soft golden glow in the highlights and gives images a warmer, more nostalgic look, almost like a late afternoon or golden hour feel baked directly into the shot. I do like that this is a one quarter diffusion, since it is not overly aggressive. It changes the character of the image without completely overpowering it, and the diffusion effect remains subtle while still being noticeable. Contrast is slightly reduced, highlights are softened, and skin tones do benefit from a more forgiving look without losing overall sharpness.

The 77mm thread fits my lenses perfectly, and there were no issues mounting it. I also use step up rings on a couple of other lenses, which works fine, but of course that means I cannot use a lens hood in those cases, so that is something to keep in mind depending on how you normally shoot.

Where my hesitation comes in is the price. Paying close to one hundred dollars for a diffusion filter feels excessive to me, even acknowledging the excellent glass quality and coatings. If you are someone like me who shoots RAW and is very comfortable editing, I am not convinced this filter provides a look that cannot be achieved in post processing. With modern editing software, LUTs, and a few well placed adjustments, I can get extremely close to this same warm, cinematic look without committing it permanently in camera. I did not see anything in the images that truly stood apart from what I could recreate later with sliders and color grading.

That said, if you are someone who prefers to get the look in camera and does not enjoy heavy post processing, this filter absolutely delivers what it promises. The glass is excellent, there is no noticeable degradation in image quality, and I did not experience unwanted reflections, flaring, or color artifacts. The diffusion effect is tasteful and subtle, and the golden tone is pleasing rather than overpowering.

In the end, this is an excellent quality filter that performs exactly as advertised. It creates a soft, golden diffusion effect with very high optical quality. The biggest downside for me is simply the price. If cost is less of a concern and you want this look baked into your images, it is a very good option. If you are comfortable editing and chasing value, the cost may be hard to justify despite the undeniable quality.
