Requires a bit of practice, but worth the effort.
The combination of a variable Neutral Density and Circular Polarizing filter is far more than a novelty. In terms of controlling light and enhancing your image, the combo is very powerful.
It takes a little bit of practice to manipulate the combined filters. There are two little levers. One, when turned counter-clockwise, controls the polarizing filter. The other lever turns clockwise and controls the Neutral Density filter. It takes a degree of dexterity to easily manipulate these little levers. I'm old and suffer from arthritis, so it's more difficult for me.
Basically, I've just been playing with these. The real test will come when I can get to the lake with its waves and the sky to play with. With this tool, that's an exciting prospect.
