Not a monocular
This is a night vision camera, NOT a monocular. You cannot hold it up to your eye and look through it because it is a camera feeding an LCD screen. It has a face-fit light shield around the screen as if it were a monocular - but it isn't. The brightness of the screen will, in fact, ruin your own night vision and make it harder for you to see things immediately around you in the dark, and light yourself for others to see. If you try to put it up to your eye you will see a bright blur that no amount of fiddling with the focus could ever fix. Because it isn't a monocular.
The field of view is pretty narrow, lending itself to distance shots.
Otherwise, it is a pretty good camera for the price. Image isn't bad. The included battery is rechargeable through the included USB cable and has good battery life. The included microSD card is also nice.
