Very convenient and versatile
Very versatile and the optical properties absolutely work. However, as it is a polymer film that one applies like a smartphone screen protector, the physical properties are similar too; they're not fully scratch resistant and from other comments I have seen, not heat resistant either. How well it fits to your requirements, depends on one's craft skills.
But for general use for when you need a filter as such, I have zero complaints.
