Great for lectures. Good for deposition backups
Sometimes I can't make it to a presentation and want someone to record it for me. Rather than ask them to take up space on their phone and then have to transfer the file to me, I hand them this. I also find it to be useful as a backup for depositions. Rather than wait for the official recording, I can review almost immediately.Using this instead of my phone (which can do voice memos) has a lot of advantages. 1. I'm not putting wear and tear on my phone. 2. I don't tie up my phone for long periods of time recording. 3. I'm not draining the phone battery. 4. I can leave this behind if I need to take a phone call, and not interrupt my recording.
