Why does the black cross appear?

A
All variable ND filters have this problem: the larger the focal length used, the less the cross shadow is affected. In the large light reduction gear, cross shadow and vignetting appear obviously. As you keep rotating, the shadows will naturally disappear. This is a physical phenomenon, not a product problem.
