Definitely valid filters
"I have used filters for two demanding purposes in the past for the SLR lens: photos at high altitude in summer with a strong sun and photos of water flowing in streams to create the "flowing" effect".
However, both the lens and the filters were cheap, but now I have switched to a 100mm macro lens with a decidedly high cost, so the filters must also be of quality to support the lens itself.
This K&F filter struck me because it integrates in a single product, what I previously obtained with two separate filters, and given that as simple as it is, changing filters when changing subjects is always inconvenient.
The product arrives super protected in its leather packaging, already a sign of the importance placed by the manufacturer in preventing it from being damaged once stored with other photographic equipment.
The construction quality is immediately noticeable in comparison with previous filters: we are on another planet!
Furthermore, the filter has two handles to adjust the two internal ring nuts which are very convenient because it avoids adjusting the wrong one if you have to do so using the edge.
Let's say right away that for the test, due to rainy weather, I was not able to extend it as necessary, due to very diluted natural light.
However, I chose to photograph live sphagnum moss, because it has an intense green color that often escapes the normal lens, looking for the patch of sky in which the brightness was higher.
As you can see from the photo, on the left there is the sphagnum moss without filter with the 1:1 macro lens and on the right the same shot with the filter inserted (obviously used at maximum brightness in this case).
The colors are now significantly better.
5 star rating: barring any future updates when there will be weather that allows for a better outdoor test, I am currently fully satisfied with the filter, the price of which is adequate for a lens that costs 10 times more."

Excelente but but both orange clips are to move ND
The filter is perfect, the unique observation is that the little orange clip, I thought it was to move the nd and other the polatizer. Maybe in the future with one each color.

High Quality Really Does Make a Difference
This "K&F Concept 77mm True Color Variable Fader" is quite a well designed and constructed filter. It is a "twofer" in so far as it combines both a Neutral Density (ND) and a Circular Polarizing (CPL) filters into one easy to use screw-on device. The build quality is impressive, as have been the majority of K&F filters I've ordered over the last two year. Further, the filter comes packed in a leather case with a pull-out tab to slide the filter out for use.If forced to find a fault it would only be that I wished the filter went further in its light reducing abillities. Having said that about its ND2 to 32 range, I must also heap praise on the filter for the orange finger putters which allow you to move the filter in gradual amounts instead of only being able to set the filter on full stops. Thus the combination of the CPL function (which cuts out reflections from water or stray light from unwanted directions) together with the ND function (which diminishes the amount of light entering onto the camera's sensor thereby allowing longer exposures) provides the ability to get smooth shots of such things as moving water without suffereing any glare from reflections. The K&F brand of filters, as a whole and specifically this "K&F Concept 77mm True Color Variable Fader," are well made photographic filters that are true to size and perform their intended effect well. Comparing this filter to similar filters from other makers leaves me with the definite thought that for the cost, fit and effect the K&F filters perform quite well. This filter, specifically, is an impressive filter at a reasonable price and I think it is, if not a spectacular build, definitively better than the average. As such I think that the "K&F Concept 77mm True Color Variable Fader" is unquestionably a strong 4 star product which deserves a place at or near the top of anyone's comparison shopping list.(Please see below for my rating criteria):=============================================================Disclosure:As noted by Amazon, I am part of the Vine Program which means that I acquire products at no cost in return for a truthful rating. Top filter * Must-have!
"Very high-quality filter: combination of polarizing filter and gray filter. Who needs that?
I think everyone who wants to take good photos. The polarizing filter reliably reduces reflections and makes colors (e.g. slightly cloudy skies) shine much more intensely. The pictures already show the simplest use. The gray filter enables longer exposures even during the day. Of course, you need a tripod for that.
By turning in one direction you first set the polarizing filter, then you can make the gray filter increasingly darker.
The workmanship is very high quality, which also justifies the price. Packed in a high-quality cardboard box and an artificial leather box. This is a great gift for photo freaks.
Take a look at Siegfried Eichhorn's video on YouTube about ND filters. Then you'll press "Order" at the latest!
With suitable adapter rings I can now use the filter on all my lenses. I am impressed by the quality."

really works well, very nicely made
As a filter, for both polarizing and variable ND, this is a solid 5 stars! I'll explain 4 stars to get this out of the way—the filter is large in diameter, and those orange grips stick out even farther. This will not allow any of my lenses that use this size filter use their lens shades at the same time. Also, (and this is probably necessary, to avoid vignetting), there are no receptical threads in the front—so you can't use your lens cap when the filter is attached. I have a feeling that this larger diameter is an issue with most variable ND filters though.
Now that those issues are out of the way, I can speak to the positive attributes. I have a number of very good polarizer and Neutral Density filters (none combined) from top manufacturers. I've avoided variable ND filters in the past—pretty much every review I've read mentions an "X" that appears (as a darkening) once the filters are above 3 or 4 stops. But, since I've used several of the higher grade K&F filters (UV and ND) and have seen how good they are, I thought this one was worth a try.
First the polarizer. I've attached two birdbath photos—one without and one with the filter at maximum effectiveness (with the ND set at 1). (Note that without the polarizer, I was focusing on the reflection on the water surface, so the birdbath and surroundings are out of focus. This also affected the overall exposure.) To my eye, this is working very well, without creating undue color casts, and the exposure is even across the image.
Next, the ND The first shot is no ND filter at all, and the second shot is the maximum 5 stops of this filter. There is a very slight color shift between the two; it's possible that if I didn't have color temp. set to auto on my camera, the difference might be more apparent—as it is, the correction needed would be easy in post. The main issue to me, is that the color shift is even across the image. And, the only ND filters that I have (and remember they are fixed ND, not variable) that have less color shift than this cost more than this filter. (And, they are just a single ND and there is no polarizer in them, either.)
The filter comes in a very nice case; I'm undecided if I like this better than the typical top and bottom lock together "caps" or self hinged snap box that all my other filters come in. It doesn't take up more room, and it's fun to pull the orange webbing and watch the filter lift out of the case.

Premium Feel
This is even better than I was expecting. The filter comes in a really nice box that gives the whole thing a really premium feel. It’s really well-made and works great. I’ve been filming with this for a few weeks now and I’m so happy with the footage I’m getting with this filter. I haven’t noticed any kind of color-cast or anything like that. The footage just looks clean. Also, I like that this is the kind of filter that has hard stops, so you can’t over-rotate it. Highly recommended.

What an amazing difference a good ND filter makes in your images.
This K&F Concept variable ND filter is actually really amazing. It costs quite a bit less than some of the other big brand filters, yet, it isn't cheap by any means. It reeks of quality, and from what I have seen, appears to be very well made. I noticed while using it my images appeared even more crisp than without it, which I thought interesting. The threads are good, and I had no issues installing this and removing it from my lens. The filter rotates smoothly, and the variable portion really does make a huge difference by allowing you to open up your lens more and create really smooth bokeh. I'm definitely glad I ordered this filter because it has make quite a nice difference in the quality of my images.

cpl ring moves when setting nd
The cpl filter adjustment moves when you try to set the nd filter unless you hold it with your hand while rotating the other ring.

High quality VND/CPL filter!
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Variable ND/CPL filter! I've used a variety of screw-on VNDs in the past with mixed results, typically I would be disappointed by color casting, sharpness decrease, and/or the X-shaped vignettes that accompany VNDs. Surprisingly, the only negative artifact this VND filter showed was a bit of vignetting due to the CPL, but that's hard to avoid with any VND/CPL combination. Overall, here are my thoughts:
Pros:
- Maintains sharpness of images
- Maintains color temperature of images
- Premium build quality
- Easy-to-operate design with the aesthetic orange tab for rotating through the VND range
Cons:
- Vignetting can be noticed in the sky at high VND levels
At the moment, this might be my favorite screw-on, lightweight, "throw it in the bag" VND filter. Would definitely recommend.
