This is my first ball head tripod and I’m impressed so far, used it with Sony A7R2 + 90mm macro lens with mounting ring. The tripod keeps the camera well in place, very stable with central column in horizontal position and camera facing down. Accurate height adjustment. Well built with quality materials. It could be a bit lighter. I like that it is short when folded. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

thumb release to remove the camera from the tripod would be easier that the screw release.

recently received this tripod as a gift from a patron and used it in The Bahamas on an assignment. It is quite sturdy and I find it useful, especially when I was making a few quick panoramic images. It is not perfect; but it is definitely one of the best travel tripods I have used in over a decade.

Extremely versatile tool that comes at a great price. All fittings seem secure and for its weight, the tripod is quite sturdy. It will take some practice to become familiar with its mechanics in order to deploy it efficiently in the field. Long story short - a solid product at an affordable price. And yes, you'll like to travel case!
