No accidental X-Pattern can be set as the stop grabs before. Perfect for 1/50sec at aperture 4 in bright sun. Colors become slightly fainter at maximum value. But it's whining at a high level. Correction is easily possible in post-production.
Filter is naturally a bit thick. Therefore, some objectivity may experience black corners if the lens is so tightly sized that only a single filter can be used. Since the ND filter contains 2 polarization filters, some objectives (even expensive ones, such as SEL 70-105) have a “remote pipe effect”. But this has less to do with the filter than with the lens

Good area to film outside in the bright (keyword: 180° rule), even in snow or in midsummer (here ND1-8 would be clearly too little)
Hardly any vignetting on the edge
Fixed stop at 8 and 128, in between points for better/more repeatable adjustment
So far, the filter makes a scratch-resistant impression
Easy screwing and unscrewing
Good case to store the filter quickly and safely
Fits well with the Sigma 24-70 2.8 (protective cap can be placed on filter)

Did my first shoot using the K&B nd filter and what a differeence. The colors are more vivid. This variable filter works so well I;m just speechless. No X pattern as advertised. Super pleased with my choice.

Use this on my Sony A7 III and I'm thrilled. Darks really great without discoloration etc.

I used this ND filter to shoot lot of waterfalls in Washington and Oregon state during my recent trip! Outcome is a smooth waterfalls! Happy with the purchase!

I use it on my Panasonic S1H with the Panasonic S line 24-70mm, works great, soft and well designed.

I use this both in the studio to drop my F-stop, and for Video. Used it on professional shoots with my RED, and smaller shoots with my Fuji. Haven't pixel peeped it, but during my edits, I notice no desegregation or X. The best variable I've seen, and absolutely a steal for the price.
