K&F CONCEPT Magnetic Mount Stand Compatible with Insta360 X5/X4/X3, Foldable Handheld Grip with 1/4 Screw Hole & Arca Type Base for Tripod, Action Camera Mount Base Bracket for Go Pro Hero 13/12 Black
SKU: KF31.189
I'm always on the hunt for different ways to mount my cameras. I saw this magnetic foldable mount and thought it would be worth trying out. I've been really impressed! The mount has a very strong magnet on the back and a rubbery cover over the magnet. This means it was easy to attach to my car bonnet for some interesting shots on my X5, and the rubbery cover means it doesn't slide around in the wind.Super easy to use, interesting angles are possible on all kinds of metal things - lampposts, desks, gym equipment, vehicles, etc. Excellent!

Another essential camera bag piece of kit from K&F, and so much better than other 'magnetic mounts' on the market. The fact that the mount screws into the camera, provides a much more secure way to mount the DJI Pocket 3 when compared to 'clip around' system, and provides for that extra piece of mind. The mount is very secure when placed on a metal surface, and provides the perfect platform for longer 'light effect' shots, in an area where a tripod is not possible.Installation is very straightforward, the 1/4 inch screw attaches to the tripod extension of the DJI Pocket, and this is easily done with your fingers, thanks in part to the addition of the flick down semi circle thing, that allows you to tighten the screw without the need of any further accessories. In my personal opinion, if you are looking for. magnetic mount for your DJI Pocket 3, then this one by K & F is an absolute winner and highly recommended.

This is great. As well as being usable as a magnetic mount, you can just use it as a pretty stable desk stand. In some instances that may be more useful than the magnetic bit for me, since I use the camera indoors more than I do outdoors to be honest.I could have done with this when I shot video for my nephew's wedding a while back. You can fold the back bit into whatever angle you want and it has good tension so stays in place. You also get two adhesive magnet stickers but I won't be using those as you'd have to attach them permanently somewhere (my wife would kill me if I stuck them up in the house). When used just as a desk stand it's rock solid and it's nice and light so travelling with it would be no problem.

This is a review of the K&F Concept Magnetic Mount Stand Compatible with Insta360 X5.This is a handy little bracket for the Insta360, tho' it will be useable with other things too, action cams etc. It's by K&F Concept so you know it's well made and decent quality at a reasonable price and one of those things you didn't know you needed until you saw it….they have an habit of making just such items. The magnets are built into the larger of the two sections of the mount and it's supplied with two self-adhesive metal plates so you can stick it to non-metallic surfaces too.As shown in the listing pics you can grip it or mount it to a selphie-stick/tripod using the ¼" thread and it takes up next to no room in your pocket of camera back.A bargain at £16.

The K&F Concept Magnetic Mount Stand will fit most 1/4 screw cameras or adapters so not just for Insta360 (however I tested with my Insta360 x2 and it also fitted. The Magnet is very strong however still nervous about attaching my expensive camera to the outside of my car while driving however for all other uses the stand worked great.I maybe would have liked a bit more 360 degree adjustment, as you only get a up or down with the hinge, and you can twist the camera and lock in place but that means on the fly adjust is not possible.Great for those action shots, timelapse etc

This is a highly useful mount for Insta 360 X5, Ace Pro 2, or pretty much any small camera with a threaded tripod mount. It’s one of those accessories you didn’t know you needed but end up using all the time.It folds flat and the magnet is very strong. Stick it to a fridge, car etc

The K&F Concept Magnetic Mount Stand Compatible with Insta360 X5, arrive nicely packaged in a slender box, so easy fits through the letterbox if you're not home to take delivery. This product is all constructed of a sturdy lightweight plastic, with a metal quarter inch screw on the bottom of the mount, were it screws into the bottom of your action camera. This is a very handy little product! It's super lightweight, fits in any bag or pocket, can be taken literally anywhere with you.As for the magnets, I sort of had my doubts when I unboxed the product, but fear not, there's six powerful magnets that are hidden inside the plastic mount, You can't actually see them which I like! Plus with them being hidden inside the product, there's no chance of them falling out.I used this mount with my DJI pocket 3, and it did the job perfectly in my testing. This allows you to get shots that you wouldn't be able to get had you had not had this product! You can literally attach it to steal beams, square metal railings, even your car!Whilst I wouldn't go at great speeds along the road with this attached, It's perfect for slow-moving shots, and getting them shots that are hard to get. This is an exceptional product that comes in very handy if you're into content creating, or getting awesome personal shots just for yourself.Overall, I have no complaints of this product, It's a nice little camera accessory to have in your arsenal.

This is a good quality mount at a good price, especially when on offer as it is at the time of writing this review.Very well made it looks and feels like a great quality item.My Insta360 X4 fits it perfectly and the angle holds firm. The magnetic base seems very strong so should be good for most operations provided they are not too extreme.Super mount.

I've tried this with a DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro using a quick release to 1/4" mount adapter, and with an Osmo 360 directly screwed into the camera.Overall quality is good, as you would expect from K&F, with rubber coatings where needed fir camera grip and also for protecting the surface you are mounting to. The 1/4" screw also had a flip up handle fir tightening as well as a flat blade screwdriver slot.A nice touch is the inclusion of two self-adhesive metal.plates that can be attached to non-ferrous surfaces to allow this mount to be attached and removed from those surfaces, although that is a semi-permanent attachment of the plates. My only concern is around the hinge. While it is fairly stiff out of the box and should hold the camera in place when not moving, I suspect it might not be suitable for anything moving such as a car or boat. In fact in testing it did move a little even when just shaking the mount a bit.The hinge doesn't appear to any way to tighten it, either, which means that as it loosens over time it will become less and less useful. Even I grub screw or something in one end of the hinge to allow it to be tightened would have prolonged the life of the mount, but even better would have been some sort of locking mechanism fur the hinge angle.Magnetic grip wise this is a reasonably good mount, but again I don't think I'd trust it on something moving at speed or shaking)vibrating/bouncing. It seems to be attracted more to the supplied plates than general metal surfaces, but that just be his it feels as the plates are lightweight and really do latch on hard. All in all a useful, compact mount, but not fit use in rugged situations.

I’ve been using this magnetic mount with my Insta360 X5 for a little while now, and I’ve got to say, it’s been both exciting and a little nerve-wracking at times. The idea of trusting a £400+ camera (plus accessories) to a little foldable magnet stand is something that took me a second to get comfortable with. But after actually using it in a bunch of different situations, I can say it mostly does what it promises, with a couple of caveats.First impressions & build:It’s surprisingly small and light. Like, it feels almost too small when you first take it out of the bag. But the foldable design makes sense — I can throw it in a jacket pocket or the side pocket of my backpack without thinking twice about it. Build quality feels decent. It doesn’t feel flimsy, and the silicone pad on the back is a nice touch since raw magnets against a car hood or other surfaces would definitely make me nervous. That said, you still have to be careful. If you slide it instead of lifting straight off, it will leave faint marks on paint. Not gouges or scratches in my experience, but enough that I noticed it on my car and immediately made a mental note: don’t drag it around once it’s stuck.Magnets & mounting:The magnets are no joke on totally flat, fully metallic surfaces. On my car hood, roof, and even the trunk, it clamps down way harder than I expected for something this small. I drove around with my camera mounted for about 4 hours while doing Amazon Flex deliveries, including highway stretches at 55–60 mph. Not once did I see it wiggle or even hint at shifting. I was still sweating a little the first hour (thinking about that expensive camera flying off), but it never budged. On the flip side, if the surface isn’t perfectly flat or if there’s paint that’s too glossy/slippery, I do feel less confident. I tested it on a fridge door and a gym rack, and while it held, it didn’t feel quite as rock solid as on the car. I think it really depends where you stick it.Real-world uses: • Used it on the hood of my Jeep during a local parade. Bumpy roads, people leaning on the car, kids waving — the camera stayed locked in place and the footage came out surprisingly smooth. • Stuck it to the side of a delivery van while filming a timelapse of a route. Looked great, no movement at all. • Attached it to a metal beam in a basketball court for a wide-angle game recording. This was actually one of my favorite uses because the perspective was unique and it was quick to set up. • Around the house I’ve popped it on the fridge for testing angles. Works fine, but again, I wouldn’t trust it as much on slightly curved or coated surfaces. The good: • Super portable, easy to just keep with the rest of my gear. • Magnets are strong enough for real-world use, even driving at highway speeds (as long as it’s flat metal). • 1/4” screw and Arca base make it versatile if I want to pop it on a tripod instead. • Silicone padding is better than bare magnets and gives me a little peace of mind. • Setup is literally seconds — stick it, screw in the camera, done. The not-so-good: • Still scary trusting a pricey camera to a magnet. Even though it hasn’t failed me, the anxiety never fully goes away. • Sliding it around will scuff paint. You really have to be disciplined about lifting it off carefully. • Not as strong on non-flat or painted surfaces. Curves = less secure. • I wish it came with some kind of protective cover or even a thin buffer pad for cars specifically. I’ve improvised with a microfiber cloth once, but it reduces magnet strength. • At certain angles, you can feel like the camera’s weight is testing the hold. Works best when the surface is flat and horizontal.Overall thoughts:I’d give it 4 stars. It’s definitely a clever little mount and it’s already made some shots possible that I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. It’s compact, easy to use, and surprisingly strong. But it’s not perfect, and I wouldn’t call it “set it and forget it” — you still have to be smart about where and how you’re mounting it. For the right situations, though, it’s brilliant. Just be prepared to baby it a little, and always keep in mind: the magnet is strong, but gravity and speed are always stronger if you push your luck.
