This microscope was easy to assemble and use. The included lenses are somewhat easy to change, but I wish they were a little easier. The picture quality on the included LCD is very good and clear. It has worked well for viewing small circuit boards to find defects and to repair. Also was fun to play with the included slides of various insects and show them to children who were visiting during the holidays. This has come in very handy for small item repairs and for purely educational purposes. This would be good for a classroom setting as well with the included ability to output to HDMI as well as the included LCD panel.

This microscope works very well for me. I can closely examine my knife blades after sharpening to view potential defects and errors. Picture quality is excellent. Uses power from supplied USB adaptor. Movement up and down controls magnification. Screen is firmly mounted and steady. Focus knob turns smoothly and focusing clearly is easy. Magnification is based on the lens position plus the digital zoom (3X) plus the screen size. So maximum advertised zoom is based on have the microscope lens as low as possible plus using the 3X digital zoom plus displaying on a 28-inch screen. I connected to my 4K 50-inch tv and the picture was clear and huge using the A lens. Both the tv and 7-inch microscope screen displayed the image simultaneously. This is so much better than using my handheld 40 x magnifying glass.

This is one of the coolest things I have seen all year. The screens are completely clear and very up close. If you have a young scientist in the home or you just love science in general this is the item for you,

This microscope is amazing, we originally bought it to look at rocks, and WoW, the things we saw on the rocks that we could not detect with the naked eye was amazing…Now we’re using it to look at jewelry, and I intend to use it for watch n jewelry repair as well…The only advice I have is Don’t be discouraged at 1st, because it takes a little bit of practice to properly adjust the height and to dial in the clarity, the dial for the clarity is very sensitive, but once you get the hang of it you can get different views of the same item…We are very pleased with it, and the ability to hook it to your computer, the removal AD card, and the ease of taking a picture is really easy to use and adds a great deal of value to the product…The only thing I’m not over the top about are the adjustable lights, while the lights are bright and extremely important when using the item, I think they could have either been made taller or were much more flexible, but it’s rather minor overall…We’ve found this to be a very useful item to have around, unfortunately I’m now spending way to much time looking at different things under it

I bought this unit to perform solder repairs and it delivers! Nice field of view with the solder lens installed. I tend to use the mid range lens full time though, has a narrower FOV but a wide focal range makes it a real work horse. Images are crystal clear and the screen is the perfect size, providing stunning images without being cumbersome to operate (The image sensor is part of the screen so the entire unit must move up and down during operation). The stand is sturdy, but the movement of the microscope up and down is a bit gummy. Hopefully this improves with break in or possibly a little graphite lubrication. The interchangeable lenses and mountable light box provide great versatility of the unit with no impact to image quality. Comes with all the cables to hook up to a TV if you wish, a SD card, remote control, and even a box of premounted slides with various plant and insect features to explore the microscopes capabilities. All in all, I‘m very pleased with the unit.

I like this scope for viewing coins and such but did not need the biological samples or the other two lenses so another model might have been better from the same company. Annoyed that the micro SD card appears to go in backwards to make it difficult to go in and out but other than that I have taken thousands of pictures with it. The software interface could definitely use more work and I have not tried plugging it directly into a PC to see if it‘s useful as a camera there or not. A longer bar would be nice so that you can take a full picture of something larger than a silver dollar. While it feels like a pretty good quality the focus adjustment knob is a bit sloppy while adjusting it as it is a coarser adjustment then it should be. I also do not like the fact that has no Direct downward lighting like other models have, just the two stalk lights.Their customer service seems to be very nice and eager to help including offering to let you test new gear so that kept it 4 star.

Works great. Get whatever lenses you need for looking at mosquito wings to lifted pins on a QFN chip. First project was used in was to find a loose component on an instrument cluster board in my Dodge van. If you know how much a new board would cost, then you know that having this microscope paid for itself like 5 times over. Had it for a year at least. Still working great.

I‘ve been using this microscope to view fine details on coins for coin collecting. It does a great job of magnification and provides multiple methods for lighting your object. The only drawback is that when you first power it up it pops up an on screen display that asks if you are plugging up to communicate or charge only. I wish it would just remember the last setting until I've unplugged it and plugged it in again.
