One of the most versatile filters for videography. With its ND filter, I can keep my shutter speed the same for video work, along with the 1/4 Black Diffusion filter, creating beautiful, softened highlights. The CPL filter also helps with reducing glare, but to my eyes, I rarely even check for glare. It can be used for photography as well.

Well-built, nicely designed 3-in-1 filter that combines different filters into one unit. The 1/4 mist filter is a bit on the softer side so you'll notice more effect when shooting white or brightly lit subjects. Can work at night to soften up bright lights. The effect is subtle.

However, where this multi-filter shines is the variable ND and circular polarizer filters. Having both filter effects on the same filter is surely convenient. The knob that sticks out is used for the variable ND portion of the filter which can go from 1-5 stops, pretty much all i'd need in most situations. There is no funny X pattern that occurs when using it either. Which is pretty amazing as you'd think that using it with the circular polarizer portion of the filter that artifacts would occur but nope. Many kudos for that. You can loosen the little knob and make your exposure adjustment then tighten it back up to lock it in.

The circular polarizer is towards the camera end of the filter and can be rotated around like a regular polarizer filter. Helps to have your ND knob tightened so you don't adjust the ND filter by accident.

The filter will change the color temperature on your images for sure. It tends to warm things up a bit and you may need to do some extra post image work afterwards.

Glass is high quality. Lens metal is high quality as well. The case for mine (55mm version) seems rather large for the filter. It would have been nice to have some sort of padding or foam to keep it from bouncing around. I'll have to fashion something myself...

Comes with 3 microfiber cleaning cloths as a bonus but no instructions for the filter other than essentially a K&F business card.

The workmanship of the filter is very good and looks high-quality. The ND filter is easy to use and the effect is clearly noticeable. I could not or barely notice darkening phenomena, which are sometimes attributed to ND. The polarizer is also very effective; reflections are efficiently removed. As for the “black mist” effect, I think you can leave that to the many filter options of the digital camera these days. Overall, the filter combination makes a very good impression, both mechanically, operationally and visually. Is Black Mist needed? .. not for me. five out of five

PROS: this filter is great combines CPL, ND, and diffusion, it fit well on my camera lens, it adjusts easily, and provides a good natural image outdoors in sunlight. Makes images look a bit softer with more vibrant colours i dolike the look of the images/videos created with this filter. And i have observed any X pattern.

CONS: its a bit expensive and the filter coating can scratch easily if your not careful, the ND adjustment can is a little loose, i saw slight vignette at the highest ND Stop(not a huge deal for me but may be for you)

Overall I would recommend this product to others

Those who know this brand know that it generally offers good quality products at fair prices, and this filter is no exception. Essentially it is a single unit that contains 3 different filters: polarizer, variable nd and black mist.
- The polarizer serves to dampen reflected light, especially on surfaces such as glass or bodies of water.
- The variable nd darkens the image in an adjustable amount at will, so as not to overexpose the lighter parts of the image
- The black mist tends to soften blacks and create a 'kinematic' effect.

It is possible to change the amount of 'filtering' applied by both the ND and the polarizer, thanks to a special knob. Unfortunately, because of this, it is not possible to use a lens hood, since the filter is rather cumbersome. The quality of the image and the colors obtained are interesting, but above all it is very useful and stimulating to have a series of effects that can be modulated on the fly without having to mount 3 different filters. It's very simple to achieve a variety of different looks using this filter alone.

The price is reasonable and honestly I find it difficult to think of an alternative that offers the same quality-price ratio.

Love the quality of this filter. An excellent brand with a quality product that is affordable and reliable. Easy setup to your lens and simple adjustments. A must have for photographers and videographers alike. Brilliant!

Easy to install and use diffusion lens.

I have a few other diffusion/ ND combo filters but this one is probably the most versatile of the bunch, the inclusion of a CPL filter on this specific filter is a game changer for some scenarios. Specifically, if you're filming outside and want to cut through atmospheric haze, remove reflections from pools of water or film from the outside through a car window. All this while combined with a diffusion filter and a VND to help you control light, maintain a constant shutter speed and a nice cinematic bloom effect to your images. Overall, it's super versatile and if you're looking for a nice all in one filter to drop into your kit, this is one you should consider.
