K&F Concept 1.2X Anamorphic Lens Compatible with DJI Osmo Pocket 3, Blue Streak Effect Widescreen Cinematic Lens, Magnetic Attach/Multi-Coated/Optical Glass
SKU: KF01.2700
I'll start right away with the marketing lie. The anamorphic squeeze factor is 1.1 and not 1.2.
That is simply a lie.
The competitor from Freewell, whose product is many times more expensive, once explained that the Pocket 3's lens construction does not allow a larger squeeze factor without causing unsightly sacrifices in image quality. Therefore, they left the factor at 1.1.
In the editing software, I just noticed that the K&F filter only squeezes 1.1 and not 1.2.
However, the image quality of the K&F is impeccable. Compared directly to Freewell, they liked the blue stripes as well as the lens flares even better than the much more expensive competitor. But that may of course be a question of taste.
The autofocus is therefore still working properly. Facetracking continues to work perfectly.
K & F ND filters can also be used by placing them behind the anamorphic lens. As a result, there is no shading in the corners. The magnet in the filter is then strong enough to stay in position on the ND. But it should of course be straightened.
The competitor's lens is not curved so that you can place the ND filters in front of the lens. I am very happy with the outcome of the videos and can absolutely recommend this anamorphic lens.
I subtract one star for the marketing lie alone.

Great lens, lives on the lens or in the protective case. Love it, but why do we have to have blue flares, anyway, the footage looks great, quality is great, I just wish it was 1.3 or 1.5 but I guess there is only so much you can do on a tiny gimbal. BUY IT!
oh, yes its almost, if not the same angle of view (width) as the included wide lens in the OP3, but the height stays the same, this means you don't have to crop to look cinematic, and waste pixels.
Enjoy!

It is amazing what everything is possible in a minimal space these days. This little anamorphot on the Osmo Pocket 3 may not be a high-end tool, but it is certainly a little dream for every cineaste who always likes to have a mini camera with them for those special moments.
Because even though not even 1.33x is possible, there is already a visual upgrade that makes the difference. The lens flares also stand out and can be fun. It's a pity that there isn't a version with neutral flares. 1.2x seems a bit rounded up to me too, but not so much that I would call it a lie. Anyone who desqueezed with 1.2x won't notice anything with most recordings, and anyone who uses test charts is perhaps most likely to focus on the somewhat fish-eyed atmosphere. These peculiarities were to be expected, are fortunately rather reserved in everyday life, and knowing them is a key, because you can work with them and even use them.
And as much as the lens has been minimized here, unfortunately you can only remove it before turning off Osmo Pocket 3, which the gimbal doesn't like at all. You have to remember that, because with the adapter plugged in, the camera module no longer fits into the park position, and clicking when the lens hits the housing is not for paranoids. After all, putting it on is possible because the lens is mobile when switched off.
However, if you are already fumbling with the smallest optics and have steady and careful fingers, you can also use this anamorphic in conjunction with a filter. Unfortunately, the filter always goes between the camera lens and the adapter, because the front of the adapter just doesn't work. But at least there's something going on.
The ultimate solution would have been one that simply lands on the lens and never has to be removed again, and then offers space for one or the other filter on the front, but DJI simply did not leave enough space there.

Comes nicely protected in a small case. Wider and cheaper than the one made by DJI. The magnetic attachment is very strong. The added screen protector is a nice bonus as well

A great anamorphic lens from K&F. I'm a novice user but do have a few filters which I have played with and tested on my Pocket 3. It attaches to the camera via magnet the camera easily and securely. Auto focus and face tracking works fine with this filter on. If you're in the market for a Anamorphic lens, then I would recommend this.

This little lens is a lot of fun. It adds a unique, cinematic look to your Osmo Pocket footage. It's easy to attach and detach, and it doesn't add too much bulk. The image quality is surprisingly good, although there's a slight loss of sharpness around the edges. It's definitely not something you'll use all the time, but it's a great tool for adding some creative flair to your videos.

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.
In terms of quality, it appears to have been well-made - the overall construction is robust, with a sleek finish, and properly machined fitments to attach to the Osmo Pocket 3. The material used for the filter layer is clean, clear and free from any distracting marks or scratches.
In summary, a good value item that will open up lots of creative possibilities.

The K&F Concept Magnetic 1.2X Anamorphic Filter for Osmo Pocket 3 is a small magnetic attachment that makes your lens slightly wider and gives you cool blue “anamorphic” flares from light sources.
If you are expecting this 1.2X Anamorphic filter to make your videos look like Hollywood blockbuster movies, you might want to temper your expectations. 1.2 times is not an official anamorphic format, mostly because stretching an image by 20 percent gives nearly imperceptible results. Anamorphic movies are typically shot with 2x anamorphic lenses that stretch the image horizontally by 200 percent.
Be advised that you will need to desqueeze your footage in editing to take advantage of the 1.2x wider image that lens has squeezed into the frame.
Like all K&F gear I have tested, this anamorphic adaptor is exceptionally well built, packaged nicely, and includes unexpected extras such as the screen protector that comes with this kit.
