77mm Kaleidoscope Filter Special Effects Filter with 3pcs Vacuum Cleaning Cloths Nano B Series
SKU: KF01.2489
The filter is a well-made, geodesic dome that projects outward from the lens. It is a moderately hefty piece of glass – quite a bit heavier than my UV or other filters. The filter has a threaded ring to attach the filter to a lens and a second ring that is used to rotate the filter when it is attached. The filter includes a nice case to securely hold the filter when not in use, and also came with three micro-fiber cleaning cloths.
The effects are cool and fun. I was able to get different kaleidoscope effects by zooming in and out with my lens; by placing the subject off-center in the frame; and by varying the distance between the lens and the subject. Rotating the filter rotates the halo of subjects surrounding the main subject.
The attached guinea pig photos were all taken with the filter attached to an 18-105mm APS-C lens. The distance from the lens to the subsect was about 2-1/2 feet to 3 feet. At this distance, the widest angle provided the least amount of kaleidoscope effect, with the kaleidoscope effect changing as the focal length narrowed. The distance from the lens to the subject can impact the distance between the center subject and the halo of subjects that surround the subject, with the halo of subjects moving further from the center subject as the distance increased.

Nice clear piece of glass. Allowing user to take some very interesting shot on otherwise normal objects.
Mounts correctly and operates smoothly. At an affordable price as well.
One thing to note, it is a large chunk of glass, so it weighs as such.

I bought this just to play around with something new in my photography. The lens is well made from quality materials and K&F Concepts makes a lot of good photography accessories.
This basically gives you images that look like a house flies vision. Shot my American flag with my Fujifilm X-T4 with the Viltrox 27mm F/1.2 PRO lens.

It takes some practice to shoot with this lens. But once you know how to adjust the aperture, it's a breeze, and the pictures are truly great.

The quality of the filter is amazing! The packaging is 10/10 the filter itself is 10/10 i can’t wait to use it. I have other variations of these prism filters from other brands like knight x which are very thick glass I love that this one is very thin glass and low profile to your lens not like cheaper ones! I wish you guys would make other prism filters I’d buy them all!

Pictures taken using the 77mm camera lens filter look stunning having resemblance of a kaleidoscopic effect. It's entirely done optically by transforming the front lens barrel into a multi point capture to get unique perspectives.
Effect can be rotated around using its built in ring. Although one gripe I have is this filter has a rather sim 2.5mm width barrel and can easily get stuck onto lenses if tightened down excessively making it difficult to remove.
On a 77mm filter thread, it has a high precision thread alignment and is easy to screw onto the front of most large DSLR lenses. While the built in 360 rotating front element operates soo smoothly its only slightly heard when capturing video. Photography wise this filter creates an awesome visual look to images making them artistic and colorful.
Filter is also much heavier and bulkier than I initially figured with a rounded fisheye style front although it doesn't alter camera perspective, only creating this creative layer of repetitive pattern known as a kaleidoscope. Aperture was increased by 1/2 to 2 notches to balance out its reduced light that this filter creates from a dense optical refraction but it can vary between DSLRs and mirrorless cameras since its meant to be universally compatible fit.
Images are sharp in the center with noticeable overlapping and blurring towards the edges with limited color fringing or noisy aberrations. Great optical effect that is creative and a lot of fun to play with bringing a unique perspective to digital photography.

Well, as you can see, some sample photos taken with the same camera can create some really cool effects. I think they can look really pretty, especially at night using streetlights like lampposts, or now during the Christmas season, and create some very different images.
You can see that the filter is quite thick and sticks out quite a bit, so I recommend always wearing the lens hood to avoid knocks. The filter is heavy; it's still solid glass and it weighs a bit, but it's really nice to turn the ring and see what it creates.
I like it, and I'm thinking about where I'm going to use it.

It is suitable for all types of photos.
You can also use it simply by placing it in front of any type of device, even a smartphone for fun.
However, it is designed for 82mm diameter lenses.
A very good filter.
Kind regards, Laurent

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The K&F Concept Nano-B Series Kaleidoscope Prism Lens Filter in the 72mm version comes with three microfiber cloths in a protective case.
The filter consists of a metal frame, which is also rotatable and adjustable, and a very thick prism glass.
The effect filter weighs a decent amount due to the glass and has a very high-quality appearance due to its excellent workmanship and weight.
The filter can be easily attached to the lens – via a step-up/down adapter, even to lenses that are not 72mm.
The photos turn out really beautiful, and depending on the subject, you can conjure up some great shots – you can really play around, experiment, and try things out!
The price is reasonable, and I recommend it!

I really liked the quality of the filter; it's a bit heavy, which is something to keep in mind. In terms of the effect, it fulfills its purpose and creates that kaleidoscopic sensation. It's worth noting that we need to play around with our subjects or lenses to get the results just right.
