Ive tried a few versions of these auto coop doors and this one hasn't disappointed. The opening isnt very large, but it works well with our ducks. Slim design, incredibly easy to install. The battery is good and the ability to mount the solar panel away from the door is perfect, if you cant guarantee the sun hits the face of the door(like others i have tried, with built in solar panels.) So far, i have no complaints and our ducks are loving their new found freedom to come and go as they please throughout the day. Remote works well. The less interference, the better for distance. It's a straight shot, about 20m, from our back window to the coop door and it works great. Once the ducks are trained to go in and stay in at night, the remote becomes obsolete, but still works well.

Don’t Waste your money on this product. The door won’t go up or down. There’s something to turn it won’t catch and of course it’s too late to return it once I installed it in the spring..

I installed it in my chicken coop and it makes things more comfortable. I like that it can be powered by batteries or a power adapter/plug. I like that I can set opening and closing times, instead of just opening at sunrise and closing at sunset, because I have a dog that doesn't play well with chickens and we need to make sure they don't play outside together. We have a coop built for the chickens. Installation is easy and programming is easy. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It is made from high quality materials and I am sure it will last for many years.

Why did I wait so long to get one of these solar chicken doors! they are amazing and give a little more freedom by not having to manually open & close the door. Great quality & pretty easy set up.

It seems like it will work well. The instructions could be clearer and I wish there was a way to turn off the buttons on the actual unit so raccoons couldn't press them.
