Just opened the box so far so good feels solid, comes with a small screw driver, and easy to read and understand installation and operating directions

So far so good. This chicken door was easy to set up and install. I only use it in the time-time mode because we're in a stormy season and I'm afraid it would close too early if it got too dark. It opens and closes on time and the solar panel provides enough power. Without any additional sensor to install, the door is sensitive enough not to close if something is in its way.

I've tested and used various doors. Unfortunately, a handful of them are junk, but not this one. This Kentfaith automatic coop door works well. It comes with a remote and a battery. You might have to order any extra as they're not a typical standard size. I like the fact that it has a solar panel because you don't need any batteries.
The door opens and closes smoothly, unlike some that rise and fall in a jerky motion. There are a couple of modes to choose from: light sensing or timed. I prefer to be there when my birds get up and go to bed, so I only use this as a backup, but it's convenient and works well. The current price isn't too bad. It's made of metal, which helps keep out predators, but it isn't going to keep out a strong-minded bear.

Install was simple and so far it functions as described. We love that if a chicken gets in the way of the door while closing that it'll stop!

Returned because might have been damaged in shipping. Didn't work ok but probably due to ship problems

So this chicken door is as described. However, programming it is a pain and we are still trying to get it all the way programmed. So far the morning is usually spot on. The evening not so much. But it does work like it is supposed too.
