Compound Microscope, 40X-5000X Kentfaith Trinocular Microscope with Electronic Eyepiece & Mechanical Stage, WF10X + WF25X Eyepieces, Abbe Condenser, Connect to Phone & PC
SKU: GW45.0066
This is my first ever owned microscope. It’s a good starter microscope but the instruction manual is a difficult read. It’s mostly specs and theory rather than practical guidance. It was hard to get started using just that, so I had to seek out a few online instructional videos which proved much more helpful than the manual.
The trinocular microscope has two light sources, three fixed viewing lenses and feels sturdy and decently built. It comes with an electric viewfinder, numerous additional viewing lenses, magnifiers, blank slides, 10 preloaded slides containing biological specimens, a brush, needle, droppers, blowers, cotton swabs, utility blade, cover glass, tweezers, and utility knife. It also includes a handy carrying case and dust covers.
The microscope plugs into AC powers for the lights and connects to PC via USB for interaction with the included Strangeview software. I installed the app on a Windows PC but also saw a DMG file option on the disc for Apple OS. The software is a small install and runs lightly on resources. I have an external USB disk drive but for those without a drive, link is provided to download the installation files.
I’m still getting accustomed to the microscope and admittedly haven’t done a ton of viewing. I’ve viewed some of the pre-loaded slides and a couple basic slides of my own but I feel like I’m just scratching the surface of the capabilities. It does have a slight learning curve if you’ve never used a microscope or, like me, haven’t used one in decades. Once I got past the initial learning curve of basic operation, it’s becoming more intuitive to operate.
Since I’m not a seasoned experienced microscope user, I have no point of comparison for quality. To me, it seems fine and is highly educational. I look forward to using it more extensively and getting a better handle on operation.

This Microscope is very good for amateur science experience
I have own a couple other ones and this definitely out performs so much better. I saw some of the other reviews and I can't understand the bad ones. Unless some folks got something different.
As far as this one goes I give it the thumbs up for sure.

DO NOT BUY IT IS NOT 5000x Magnification. Bought without reading comments or paying too much attention. Shame on me and shame on Kentfaith. I reported to them and they don’t care. Oh well. AVOID AVOID AVOID

It's a pretty good kit, case and all. I've been taking my time to really learn how the optics work to get an idea of how small of a thing can I see. It's been fun discovering the microscopic world a bit. It has met my expectations in terms of quality and overall value. Would have loved to have something like this as a kid.

It was a great kid’s microscope. My girl loved it. It came with sample slides that was awesome.

This trinocular microscope has great magnification. Unfortunately, there are no real instructions in this microscope to be able to use it to it's fullest extent. The premade slides that come with this microscope aren't the best quality but they are easily made. A friend of mine works in a lab on microscopes everyday. He said this is a very good one.

This is a nice microscope that is easy to use but powerful. I really like that everything fits into a compact carrying case. I tried it on several magnifications and was happy enough with the results. If you're not familiar with setting up a Microscope and slides, get help or watch some videos, as these instructions won't help you through the details.

Bought it for personal use. I am in awe of creation and wanted a microscope (my first ever) to help me delve deeper. Very satisfied. I only wish the booklet came with clearer and more detailed instructions.
