Very sturdy and good quality. Too bad it didn‘t come with at least a slide or two. I purchased them separately. You have to go online to access the manual but other than that it's a good product.

I needed a microscope for my BIO 2 course so I ordered this microscope. I love it. It works perfectly and does everything I personally need it for. The lenses are very clear, the set up was very easy. My only complaint is that the stage moves up and down, but not front to back or side to side so you have to manually move your slides in order to see them which causes issues if you are using the 1000 x and you move it just the slightest bit it could ruin everything you were focusing on. This isn‘t the worst problem in the world, but is slightly inconvenient.

It was nice to purchase an item online and not be disappointed in its quality, especially when it comes to science type equipment. It shouldn‘t matter if it's for beginners or not.Overall I'm happy with the purchase and its functionality. It should hold up to a rough pre teen for many years of use and abuse.

I bought this microscope for my two young daughters to hopefully spark their interest in science. I did not want to buy something for an absolute beginner, as I myself have some experience and appreciate a decent scope. To sum it up, you get a lot of scope for your money. It is well constructed. The focus knobs are precise, the images are clear, the objectives lock in tight, and the magnification is just right for a beginner. You can also adjust the light, which comes in handy for high magnification. The only limitation this scope has is the clarity at highest magnifications, which is where investing in the likes of a Nikon may be a consideration someday. But for kids, this is something they could grow up with.

If that means anything to you, go with another model like the M-500 that has an ample stage.The stage on the 150 is so small that when you put the MS-90 attachment, there is not enough room for travel, to see the entire slide. You cannot move the slide down enough to view the upper half. Kentfaith‘s solution is to flip the slide, which is half-baked.

It‘s *ok*. I bought it because I was taking an online microbiology class and it mostly did the trick. There aren't any instructions, so I would have felt really lost if I had never used microscope before.

Built like a tank. This product feels like it will last a lifetime. Only problem is that there is no storage place for the switchable eye pieces. Eventually one will get lost or damaged. Otherwise a fine product.

Microscope arrived in excellent condition. Only two concerns: First, when I set the LED light to maximum, it starts to flicker, although it does not bother me because I never use it at maximum. Second, seller should include at least one glass slide to start using the microscope right after unboxing. Otherwise you will have to buy some slides as I had to do. The picture attached shows some blood cells of my own at maximum magnification (40X by 25X). Despite of taking the picture by holdig my cellphone with the bare hand, it looks nice!
