After using my Sony GMaster 24mm f1.4 without protection for a few years, the coating is starting to show light scratches. I should have gotten a filter earlier to prevent this, but to prevent further scratches I bought this now. I was looking for an option that wasn't too expensive but still of good quality. Since I was worried about the negative visual impact of the additional layer of glass on the image, I was very pleased to see that such issues did not arise at all. I've used the filter on a few short trips and even on two commercial projects, outdoors and indoors, and haven't had any issues.

This appears to be a very well made product. It is very easy to screw in and its own external thread works just as well with other filters or lens hoods. It's also very slim and barely adds any length to the camera length. Beautifully packaged, including microfiber cleaning cloth.

Filter is very cleanly processed, thread runs smoothly, nice, non-slip ribbing for easy screwing on and off. Glass clean and free of grease. No change in image quality (color, etc.). Was mainly intended to protect the lens. Has yet to prove itself in strong sunlight.

The UV filter is intended to protect a very old lens from the last century from scratches caused by sand, etc. A cool side effect is that the object now looks a bit more modern and open-glazed from the front :-)

This UV filter ensures immaculately beautiful photos. I am very excited! I am currently using the filter on my 50mm fixed focal length. He fit this one perfectly.
