I've used this to check out valves in an engine, fine keys lost under a seat, looking in an HVAC box for debris, inspecting turbo fins through an O2 sensor hole and even fished a new water line to the fridge using it to see in the wall and floorspace. Buy now and think later, I use it almost daily.

I have the lots of endoscopes from the cheap one that is attached to a non-rigid regular usb wire, to a 3 camera one, and now this one. The ability to flex the head is why I bought it. The head size is a bit big, but for my needs, it functions as required.

I have had this camera for about 6 months and love it as much as day 1. The picture are great quality and don't think any higher resolution is needed at least for automotive use. The pics I attached show how easy it isolate cause of engine mechanical issues. Much quicker than a leakdown test (although like a noid light, easy to tell a failure, but could lead you to false pass in some situations. My only recommendation to other techs would be to possibly consider spending the extra money for the 0.24" diameter camera. I have the 0.33" diameter and even though it works in most spark plug holes, it is very difficult to fit in some of the Fords with the smaller diameter plugs. It would probably be worth the extra $60. There are times when I felt a triple camera would be better, but the articulating triple cameras I have seen are near or over $1000. I might get the Teslong triple as an addition to this and still be way under the 1000 price point. The app is extremely convenient and allows you to connect to your phone to make taking pictures to show the customer much easier. Also allows you to set camera down and view from a remote spot such as when viewing for piston coming up on TDC when rotating crankshaft. As with anything else, I'm always learning new ways to use this camera but it is a real timesaver and leads to more accurate diagnostic results.

Kept getting hung up on a wire pull so snaked this boroscope in the wall yo see what was wrong. Ended up finding some conduit that was running at a slant but I was able to get around it using this camera. Good light and movement with the controls. Recommended 5/5

BOTTOM LINE:
1. I recommend this Kentfaith 2 million pixels and sem-rigid 5 foot cable articulating Borescope.
2. The current price of ~$140 is a bit high, especially since it's using my phone screen.

LIKES:
- Love the ability to see video on my phone for later viewing.
- Quality machine.
- Waterproof.
- Articulating tip works great in hidden places.

DISLIKES:
- I'm apprehensive about having my expensive cell phone in some environments.

Very easy to operate, clear picture, can turn the camera with your thumb and can record to laptop or phone using blue tooth. I wish I could have afforded this item years ago, but I guess it wasn’t this good of quality years ago.

I've been wanting a borescope for years and have borrowed a few Depstech models from friends. This Kentfaith blows the $50-60 Depstech away. The focal range on this is much better. I feel like the Depstech ones I've used can only see about an inch in front of the lense but this one sees as far as the light shines.

The light brightness is adjustable and there's a decent range of brightness settings. With lights on full power, the tip does run surprisingly hot. I'm interested to see if that becomes an issue.

The articulation is so cool. It does only articulate in one plane so you may need to rotate the cable itself to get the right view but it's still way better than no articulation. I found that the articulation lever was pretty difficult to move when the cable was wrapped up. In fact it would only move about 90° in either direction before I felt like I was going to break the lever. Once I unwrapped the cable, the lever moved much more freely and I could get the full 180° movement. The lever is pretty easy to operate even with one hand. At this price point, I do wish the articulation was in any direction.

The camera is very clear and has a good focal range for a variety of different usage situations. Taking pictures is super easy with a press of a button. My 6 year old son spent the afternoon checking out what was in all of our HVAC floor registers.

It comes in a nice case and includes all the cables, SD card and card reader for a laptop.

Overall I'm pretty pleased. There are cheaper articulating options out there, but Kentfaith seems to be well known and reviewed so you're paying a bit for reputation and quality I think.
