The K&F Concept Nano-X True Color Variable ND Filter arrived quickly.

It is neatly packed in a chic pencil case that protects the filter well.
I would still like to see the filter designation on the pencil case so that I can find the one I'm looking for more quickly.

The filter itself works well.
It fits perfectly on my wide angle lens. With the right adapter rings, even on smaller lenses.

The settings can be continuously adjusted using the small red handle on the edge.
Unfortunately, the weather is rather dark and gray at the moment and the filter outside hasn't really been used yet.

Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the filter and am looking forward to the next sunny day.

I love the ability to change stops using the notch on the side however you have to remove the entire filter to add your lens cap back on after camera use. Good quality filter and built well. I would buy it again.

I have to say I was pretty impressed by the packaging of this lens filter as K&F is already known for their amazing product line of camera equipment. I was in need of a ND filter that could change in a variety of F-stops in which I figured getting a variable ND set would be great. This one lens is capable of producing 5 different f-stops on top of being a protector for the original glass on the camera lens itself.

Love the fact that it's simply threaded onto my camera lens and literally just by a rotation of the thumb dial, I'm able to get my desired effect. There's no cross bleed when using the lens at a higher f-stop which is known to be an issue with other brands. Very impressed as far as the quality as well! Everything is packaged nicely to protect the lens during travel and storage. I will say that K&F could've provided a foam inner carrier versus the plastic wrap but for the price it's still a great purchase. Most definitely recommend picking one up as well.

Variable ND filters are primarily used for filming, since long exposure times have to be used there. In order to have the right exposure at all times, it is important to be able to adjust the ND filter. Inexpensive variable ND filters usually have a yellow cast. Of course, this falsifies the white balance and the image effect. Unless you want it that way. I still like to use the variable filters. Especially with long exposures on the water. But I've often been annoyed by the distorted color effect. The ND filter reviewed here is clearly not one of the cheap filters. It also comes in a very nice case when it arrives and it even has a handle that you can use to adjust it very comfortably on the camera. As you can see from the pictures, the color effect does not change. Aperture and exposure time as well as ISO were all the same. Only the filter was adjusted. I think you can see the quality of the filter well.
In general, I would like to warn against turning the filter on too tightly or slightly crookedly, or using it at strongly changing temperatures. Then it happened to me more often that I couldn't get the filter off anymore. That was only possible with the right filter clamp.
I haven't had any problems with this one though.
I like him very much. But that should also be the case, it also costs significantly more than the inexpensive league.

The filter can be selected directly for a lens or used with adapter rings. I opted for the former because I don't find the constant changing ideal and only need the filter in this way for one lens. This variable filter covers several f-stops. I am happy with the quality. The material looks high-quality, the thread is precise and I also think the glass is excellent.
The product corresponds to the description, I am satisfied with the quality and I recommend this variable ND filter.

I absolutely love this lens. first off it fit perfectly on my kit lens. Because my UV lens is k&F, it's screwed right in. I didn't have to remove the UV lens.

The lens is made of really good quality metal material. It is beautifully designed. And I love that you can adjust how much light goes in and out of the lens.

I played with it outside, and you can absolutely see the difference in how it makes natural light look. I also took on a test drive to a convention, and conventions often have terrible lighting. It was a major improvement. The lens made the unattractive fluorescent lighting less intense, and A little more dramatic.

I was finally able to get out and test the lens with my Sony wide angle. It was overcast today, and this filter did a beautiful job, considering the bad lighting. I even took the same photos, with another filter that I paid double for, and no difference in the quality. It also comes with its own leather case, which I love. It keeps the lens protected and easy to carry in my knapsack.

This is a dream to use, the putter makes it easy to adjust the stops and it is on the left side, where it should be. With the lock system, I don't have to worry about over extending, each stop is easy to adjust to. I am not a professional, just a hobby photographer, but this filter makes it easy enough to take stunning photos of landscapes and waterfalls.

This screw-on filter ensures that you can reduce the light for the photo shoot. This allows you to achieve a longer exposure time, which can be used well for certain situations.
We have now tested this filter a number of times and so far we are quite happy with the results achieved.
What the filter does or is supposed to achieve, it implements well. In this way, waterfalls, streams or moving clouds can be softened or faded easily. Or you can also use such a filter quite well in areas that are very busy with people. With a long exposure, you can easily make moving people disappear from the photos.
But you can certainly recommend him. Beautiful effects, no visible color changes (blue cast, purple cast, etc.).

The K&F Concept coating technology gives the filter a very low reflectivity, which ensures good light transmission, thereby reducing flare and ghosting, preventing glare and not affecting the original performance of the lens.

The processing, design and quality looks very high quality and very well made, the filter glass texture also makes an extremely positive, scratch-free impression.
The variable ND filter reduces the light by up to f-stops, that means ND2-32 (1-5 stop), which causes no color cast and no loss of image quality.
On the subject of autofocus and filters:
The autofocus still works well with the Sony A7 Mark 2 or the Sony 6500 combined with various lenses, although it is a bit weaker. Here you just have to switch to manual focus.

All in all, a really well-made filter, with the advantage that it is easy to attach compared to square-wave filters, which require a square-wave filter attachment.
This filter arrives in a neatly made box in which to keep it safe and well.
So far, this filter has convinced us without any objections, so a clear recommendation.

I am rarely let down by K&F filters and this one is equally as gorgeous. The build quality is fantastic and the toggle allows you to easily use the filter even if you’re wearing gloves. This is a precision CNC machine to aluminum frame that moves incredibly smoothly. The variable density transition smoothly without visual artifacts and that’s the most important part.

I would prefer brass of course and I think these days filters need to be magnetic. The days of spending hours screwing in unscrewing filters into your camera no longer need to be necessary. But for the quality of the filter and the price I’m still going to give it five stars.

Even though I have a ND filter I opted to get this due to the the orange lever to rotate through the density stops. When using my other one with no defined stops it was easy to end up accidently unscrewing it off the lens. This little "nub" makes for much better use of the filter with smooth rotation and stops at each end. I have not had this one long enough for a full test but having a couple other of their filters I find them as good or better than any I have used. Even though I have still have some German made filters K&F is now my choice for my filter needs. They are meticulously crafted and beautifully presented.
