I have a Canon 70D with an 18-35mm ART from Signa attached, a very massive and heavy lens and this ball head takes it without issue. Based on this, I can take 99% of camera / lens configurations of enthusiast photographers!

Awesome, I added this to my regular tripod and it worked perfect, makes it easy to clamp in or out of the tripod and point in any direction including up for astrophotographers :)

I am a budding documentary maker and recently I have been upgrading all my gear to improve the quality of my videos. The last thing I upgraded was my tripod to a K2 COMPACT and I purchased this attachment for it. Wow the difference is like chalk and cheese. These items are made from outstanding quality materials and make a huge difference to your tripod. 1000 percent recommend.

The head is really stable. It is possible to shoot sharp photos with a sooty barrel (f = 1000 mm) with no screws clamped by hand on the camera. Admittedly, it becomes even better with clamped axes. In this case, however, the vertical axis rotates a little further when clamped, so that the image section is twisted. This is a bit annoying when accuracy is important.

The installation instructions document is not explicit enough. I spent many hours to find a way to fix the gimbal on my K & F concept tripod. The horizontal pivot wich allow to turn the gimbal 360* left or right is too stiff even when the on/off knob is totally open. The lubricant inside is too thick so in cold temperatures it is impossible to turn the gimbal left or right

This gimbal is a heavy duty precise made machine. It's made of quality materials and everything fits like a glove. The swing arm has smooth rocking motion and the lock lever keeps it in place at the angle you set it to. It has very clear markings so you can remember the settings the next time you use it. For the price this is a great value.
