For starters, the filter came packaged better than I expected. It arrived in a nice faux leather case for safe keeping or traveling when not in use. It is also very well made and dare I say rivals some of the more expensive ones that I have in terms of quality and performance. It was a bit difficult to get onto my lens, I had to carefully line up the thread but once it was on my Fujinon lens, it did not budge. It was easy to adjust while shooting and wasn’t too loose that it moved on its own.

I’ve never used a diffusion filter before so I wanted to try something new when it came to my images and I’m kind of sold with this one. It added this softening effect to my images, smoothed out some of the edges but still kept the details.

I have been using these filters recently for portraits and the 1/4 specifically has made a big difference in some of them. The effects from this filter have made the editing much easier and takes a fraction of the time that it used to. I highly recommend these filters.

these filters are more prominent with the bloom than the tiffen BPM i use however they have a more pleasing highlight rolloff and subtle contrast reduction. they flare a tiny bit if having a light source hitting the filter directly but overall they are very good filters and give a cinematic touch to overly sharp images

I have a Black Mist Pro 1/8 filter that I use quite a bit, and based on my recent positive experiences with K&F filters, I decided to give this set of 1/4 and 1/8 filters a try. Because the K&F filters cost about 30% less than the Black Mist Pro equivalent, they are perceived by some "pros" as lower-quality filters. I'm happy to say that these K&F 1/4 and 1/8 black diffuser is every bit as good as the Black Mist Pro equivalent, achieving exactly the effect I was after with no distortion or color cast. I also own the K&F 1/4 diffusion filter with the magnetic mounting system, which costs the same as the this two-filter package. While the filters are idenitical in terms of effect and optical qaulity, I really love the magnetic mounting feature, so you might want to consider that before purchasing these conventional mount filters (but if your budget is tight, you can't beat the price for two quality filters). The price to value ratio for theser filters is excellent.

I like diffusion with a light touch (any type). Mist diffusion filters in particular tend to become increasingly problematic looking as they get stronger. The K&F filters work well and are value-priced. Keep the effect targeted with a light touch and you'll be quite happy with them.

This set of camera lens filters are of excellent quality. I am very much an amateur and have only limited experience using filters and that was years ago when I was taking a couple of B&W photography courses with a 35 mm film camera. I do have two DSLR camera & lens kits which I have been experimenting with and when I saw these lenses I wanted to try them out. I am not as familiar with the Japanese-made glass used in these filters as I am with the German-made glass in the lenses and filters I used to have, but the optical quality of this AGC glass and the coatings seems to be top-notch. The filters are thin, light and strong, + they are also very clear with no imperfections noticeable to the naked eye. The light transmittance is very good, so even though I am diffusing the light, there is still enough. I really appreciate that this set includes both the 1/8 and 1/4 lens filters. I ordered the 58 mm version for my Nikkor zoom lens and both filters fit perfectly. i like that both of the filters have the external threads so I can also attach another filter over or under the one I am using. I haven't done that yet as I am still exploring what type of images I can get just using one or the other of the filters in this kit. The cases are very nice, as well -- they feel strong & sturdy. The current price of $69.99 for two lens filters seems very reasonable, and I will definitely look for this brand when I'm ready to try other types of filters.

I'm really loving the K&F concept diffusion set, it gives the wonderful haze like effect with halides on the lights and bloom to really give you that dreamy film like aesthetic. The great thing about it is that it also doesn't lower the quality too much of your images. It get's rid of that "clinical" sharp digital look and adds life to your photos. The packaging is great albeit a bit large for the filter itself but it's a nice little carrying case to put into your bag.
I love using the 1/8th strength for everyday shots and the 1/4th when you really want to amp up the dreamy look.

People often ask me what my secret is for the warm look of my educational videos. Well, the 1/8th filter is it.

I have been using diffusion and mist filters for years and when I needed to get a full time diffusion filter for my two 77mm lenses, I didn’t want to pay the exorbitant prices of the bigger name brands. Having used other K&F filters and being satisfied with the quality, I thought I’d give these a shot.

I’m glad I did. These are at least as good and perhaps even better than the others I have. The 1/8 diffuses lights and specular highlights with a very pleasing, subtle softness. It also smooths the face a bit and makes small blemishes, wrinkles, and imperfections barely noticeable. It is a subtle filter versus the 1/4.

The 1/4 is of the same quality, but a far more intense effect. I’m glad I have it and have had a chance to use it on multiple occasions for creative, dreamy shots. That said, the 1/8 is a workhorse and I use it all the time.

If you’re considering these versus the more expensive brands, worry not. These are excellent and get the job done.
