Even though I read the reviews, I was still surprised by the compact size and weight of this tripod. The components are all quality, it's well made. I'm 6'1" (185cm) tall and use a Pentax K1 with battery grip and 24-70mm f2.8 lens. It's a tall, heavy camera setup. My immediate concern was that the tripod will be too short and if I flip the camera vertically the tripod might fall over. To my surprise, fully extended, the camera viewfinder is almost too high for me. This places the lens over the heads of most people if you're in a crowd and most DSLR cameras have a tiltable LCD screen for viewing anyway. Its also quite stable for its weight. Horizontal or vertical, the camera was in no danger of falling. I wouldn't risk it on a windy day though.

On the ballhead there are 3 separate knobs to lock rotation, ball tilt and camera base plate. All very solid. The baseplate also has a really nice bubble level and a compass that will help you align the tripod to North for astrophotography.

If you're a hiker or traveler, I highly recommend this for the price / performance ratio.

This is very sturdy and has a quick release mount for the camera. Easy to open and adjust for any type of service and height.

This one is my favorite. I have several tripods. I thought weight didn't matter, but it makes all the difference. It's not super heavy, but very stable. It looks more professional.

I bought this Trupod ready for my trip to NYC in December. I've not yet taken this out on a test outdoors, but testing it around the house it seems impressive. It is very lightweight so I'm guessing in a windy area there will be a vast amount of shake/distortion to your images. I have watched endless YouTube videos of this tripod which shows that the legs fall off as the glue isn't strong, but I'm yet to see this on mine.I aim to start using it soon before my trip to give it a real test.

This is a very nice travel tripod. I always get backpacks with loops to hold a small tripod, but all the small tripods I've had were flimsy, and not worth hauling around. All of my good tripods are too big for that purpose. This one now fills that void. It's very strong. When extending the legs for the first time, I did have to yank it a bit to get them out, but after I freed them they slid smoothly. They rotate all the way around and the maximum angle locks in with a button. The top arm extends up with 2 segments, and each leg has 5 segments. This is a great tripod to carry around, but if you need to deploy it quickly, it might frustrate you. It takes a good minute to fully deploy if you know what you're doing. It comes with a ball head and a quick release plate. The ball head glides smoothly, and has a compass and spirit level attached to the top to ensure you have perfect framing. The ball head also can rotate with what feels like a fluid head swivel on the bottom. Simple pans are easy, but you have to twist the camera instead of holding a handle. The quick release plate locks down with a thumb screw. You can loosen the screw and slide it back and forth a small amount, but it hits a stop without letting your camera slide off and fall to the ground. It's a fairly small quick release plate, but it's fairly strong. It has a nice steel hook on the bottom that you can attach a sand bag to, for if you plan on shooting in the wind.Overall this is a great kit that comes with the tripod, a ball head, and a quick release plate. It has everything you need besides the camera.Highly recommended.

I am a professional architecture and interior photographer and also do videography. Was looking for a tripod that is light yet stable and sturdy (since my equipment can be heavy i.e. tilt shift/telezoom lenses, and expensive). This K&F tripod ticked all the boxes and the price point is perfect. This tripod has an excellent and smooth quick release system which is important for me especially when moving from location to location during the critical lighting window for outdoor shots. The tripod's height is impressive and it can be extended with an option to attach additional weight at the centre of gravity point to make it even more secure. The tripod's colour is vibrant and the finishing is smooth.I personally prefer twist locks for the tripod legs, although this is definitely a matter of personal preference. The legs can also be extended outwards using the quick release clip to have an even lower height. This may be particularly helpful when trying to get a lower vantage point for artistic reasons, such as when focussing on the foreground.Would definitely reccomend as a studio or outdoor tripod or even for events and travel! Carbon fiber tripods are ideal for travelling.

A good all-round camera tripod that allows for camera stabilization in almost any position. Height adjustment is easy, allowing for easy leveling on uneven terrain. The tripod occupies a large enough space to be stable, but is reasonably sized so as not to get in the way at all times. The ball system allows the camera to be moved in a 360 degree sweep and pointed up and down. Bulky cameras might not be able to go straight up and down due to camera parts getting in the way, but most cameras can. The tripod is a little heavy, but much more stable than many lighter tripods. It makes a robust impression and should last for several years, even with heavy use. The ability to convert to a monopod comes in handy in some outdoor applications and it's nice to be able to switch between the two modes with minimal fuss without having to buy two systems. The practical soft carrying case is well designed and durable. The tripod slides easily back into the case, but there isn't a lot of extra space to store extra items. It provides good protection for the tripod from scratches, etc., but it has soft sides, so it does not prevent damage if heavy objects are dropped on it or it is bent. Overall, a good camera tripod that should be used for years to come. It provides good protection for the tripod from scratches, etc., but it has soft sides, so it does not prevent damage if heavy objects are dropped on it or it is bent. Overall, a good camera tripod that should be used for years to come. It provides good protection for the tripod from scratches, etc., but it has soft sides, so it does not prevent damage if heavy objects are dropped on it or it is bent. Overall, a good camera tripod that should be used for years to come.
