52mm HD MCUV Protection Filter 28 Multi-Coated Filter - Nano-Xcel series Toughened Glass
SKU: KF01.1862
Another great product from K&F. I love the matte finish on the ring it makes it easy to install and remove. Unlike others I have used in the past. It does not take away from your image quality and is priced perfectly.

Absolutely delighted with my purchase of the KF CONCEPT UV lens filter! Not only is the design sleek, but the packaging was a pleasant surprise. Now, let me share a little anecdote - I used to be a dedicated fanboy of BW filters until I stumbled upon KF CONCEPT. It's like I discovered a whole new world of clarity! Now, even my camera lens is wondering why it wasn't introduced to KF earlier. Here's to seeing the world through a new, crystal-clear lens - KF style!

Overall there's a not a ton to be said, the glass is high quality and it doesn't really affect image quality, overall it's a nice piece of insurance to protect your front lens element.

have been using Hoya NXT Plus filters until I checked conditions of them and found they already have multiple light scratches all over the surfaces. And I have been extremely careful with them, never used anything other than well-cleaned microfiber and single-use zeiss wipes. They are just too fragile. Digging more about the filter revealed that those Hoya NXT Plus filters are actually very old products and are not as advanced as recent ones. Hoya's current latest flagship filters are HD3 UV filters, but they are about three times more expensive. After some searches I found out my tripod's manufacturer, K&F also makes filters and this seems to be the best version. It is also a bit more cheaper than NXT Plus. From my rather unscientific reflection test, both Hoya NXT Plus and this one are about equal. However the difference is the durability and coatings. I found no scratches and is much easier to clean than Hoya NXT Plus. The surface is much more slippery than Hoya. Only flaw I found is that the filter frame is perhaps too thin and was rather hard to screw in. Be careful when you install the filter otherwise you may damage a front element of the lens.

Most photographers today use a UV filter as a lens protector. I generally don't bother with it but wanted extra protection for a river raft trip. As best I can determine, this K&F filter provided excellent optical quality. Price was far less than the premium alternatives. With an extremely low profile, it never vignetted at wide angles. However because it is so thin, my lens cap just barely gets a grip in the outer threads. Nevertheless, the cap stayed on and it never caused a problem.
